What should I keep in a first-aid kit for my car?

I am going away and I was wondering if anyone new what I should keep in a first-aid kit.

I am going camping.

1. Just get a pre-packed first aid kit from any pharmacy.

2. Make sure you have one or two of those emergency rescue blankets that look like tinfoil, they keep your body heat in and are packaged into little compact squares... Keep one in the glove box and one in the trunk - keep one INSIDE the car in case you ever get trapped inside you car after an accident in a ditch or ravine or something. You should also keep a flashlight, extra batteries, an emergency auto glass window breaking tool with seat-belt cutter if you ever end up in the water in your car ( flash flood - or drive into a lake or river ) you will not be able to open your car door until the car is completely submerged and the pressure equals out and electric roll down windows won't work and it is hard as hell to break window glass without one of these tools. Also pack a few protein bars and a jug of distilled water. Flares, a whistle, be sure and bring along extra meds if you are on any... and like the woman above me posted just a regular first aid kit... Be sure it has some Neosporin in it and rubbing alcohol, and be sure and bring some benadryl pills in case you have an unexpected allergic reaction. Cell phone and charger and/or spare batteries and waterproof matches and a lighter. It's also a good idea to keep a simple cheap wool skull cap or ski mask and extra wool socks and gloves in the car ( you lose most of your body heat from the top of your head ) And Nose Toes and Fingers are the first things to go with frostbite Best of luck

3. bandages plaster sling, scissors sterlie dressing , anti bacteral wash you know that hand gel stuff so you cna just wash your hands with it to stop any germs gettinginto wounds etc,,,, i would pack anything you think you need for the weekend a mobile phone too incase you do have accident and you get help,,, have fun iam sure you will be fine

4. start with a good kit from the local pharmacy then add to it. You will need some ACE bandage, chemical Ice packs, burn jell, benadryl, hydracortazone cream, Tylenol, rolls of gauze, large bandages, neosporin, tweezers, knife, scissors, tape, hand jell, wipes like you would use on a baby so you can clean an area and not need water, extra batteries for cell phone, also take food that can be kept without refrigeration like jerky and dryad fruits and stuff so if you do get hurt and cant move about you have a little something to eat.
