can glycerine and potassium magnate be used to start a fire and how and why is it used in first aid kits?

Public Comments

1. condy's crystals (potassium permanganate) and glycerine can be used to make a small volcano. The reaction puts out a lot of heat .

I know its in some first aid kits . It is used in water purification . I believe its been replaced by other things for general first aid use.

2. there is no good reason to have them in a first aid kit. Potassium is dangerous. If it is ever ingested, it can kill. Glycerin is used sometimes as a laxative or to help skin ailments. Any way you cut it, revamp your first aid kit with things that will really help in an emergency
