Can a nurse aid loose their certification if they refuse mandation?

Mandated-when you have already put your 8 hrs in and and the facility demands you to work another 8 due to short staff. I was told if I left it would be considered abandonment and I would loose my certification. Is this true?

1. what excatly do you mean my mandation b/c I have brrn a CNA for years and I'm not sure if I understand the queston.
