how can i transfer an arkansas nurses aid certification to florida?

1. You will have to either become nationaly certified for the states that recognize national certifications... or take the test for Florida.

2. You will have to take the Florida exam. Licenses are not transferable from other states.

3. I don't think you can. FL is a pain in the rear for the medical line. You have to be re-certified I believe according to FL guidlines.

4. Your best bet is to contact a place in Florida that a nurse would work for, i.e., nursing home. Tell them what your question is. Both my sisters thought they would have to retake the test when they moved to new states but were happily surprised when they found out they didn't have to. Some states have more stringent requirements than others. If you come from a less stringent state you may have to retest. If not, the place of an employment will do the paperwork for you to transfer your license. This is what happened for both of my sisters.

5. You will have to recertify in Florida. I have included the link for the Florida State information for NAs:
