If you wanted to take a child first aid course.....?

can you list in order of importance the subjects you would like covered or the situations that you are most concerned about? ie. choking, CPR, burns, fractures, head injuries, etc.
I am a first aid instructor and I am putting together a child care first aid course (non-certified) and I want to cover the subjects that are most important to parents and child caregivers.

Public Comments

1. they probably cover all that anyway without you listing. They did when i did a lifeguarding course and it wasnt specifically on children yet we learnt all the child first aid (: hope that helped

2. I have tried a child first aid course and taught me everything there is to know how to help a child in serious need and was cool to learn all that. But it would be neat to try and retake a course to refresh my memory cause it has been over 12 yrs. since I did that and I would like to be able to help a child if he/she is choking, how to take care of burns, fractures, head injuries. Anything.

3. I am a medic and a mother of a 10 month old. Things that are important to me are.. choking, as well as the things that can cause choking (hot dogs and stuff one may not think is dangerous) most parents think if they get the item out than all is fine, but it is still important to get checked for tissue damage, poisoning, CPR, treatment of burns, falls, and some overall safety like car seats and helmets.
