1. Don't be nervous. It's a great learning experience.

2. Its real simple, It will feel like nothing, they do not put u under pressure, you will mostly being things as a team, You take the test togeather and everything you do and learn you will talk about togeather, they will not spot u out of the crowd, theres nothing to be nervous about. They talk about basic first aid, such as if a person where to crash what would u do line there body up, or leave them as they are. Or if you get a burn what do u do? stuff like that. Just think common sence.

3. You learn to put bandages on people correctly , what to do if some one is burnt or has a heart attack etc, and you even have to do mouth to mouth, so brush your teeth even it it is a plastic dummy.

4. I'm an AHA 1st aid instructor. The courses are pretty easy to get through. You will probably go through a section on medical emergencies, heart attakcs, seizures and such. Then a section traumatic injuries, how to deal with sprains, breaks and cuts. You may also have a section on CPR. You may also have a section on envirnmental injuries, things like animal bites, stings, frostbite and stuff like that. The classes are designed to give you a genreal idea of what to do in an emergency, and there is no reason to be nervous. One of the things they will teach you is that if you don't know what to do in an emergency, it is a sign that you need to call 911. I think you'll enjoy the class.

5. first aid courses are great learning experence.

so sit back and enjoy..

6. GOOD for you~ This will prove to be an 'invaluable' experience for you. Possibly a life-changing experience as well. You will learn first-aid procedures that will assist you in various everyday situations. This class will if anything give you a sense of empowerment & confidence should you be amidst a life-threatening or health assisting situation. You will be familiarized with the wonderful life-saving procedure CPR & even the Heimlich Manuver may be shown to you. There will be easy to understand handy/helpful ways of immobolizing an injury, assisting a situation where bleeding or trauma is involved, things that are needed to simply maintain someone long enough for professionally trained individuals to arrive to intervene. Applying pressure to a bleeding wound can offer someone a great chance! As well as your knowing how to assist a choking individual (happens all the time) & actually YOU may make the difference between life & death just because you were introduced to first aid! Drowning vistims benefit so very much from people simply knowing rescue basics & CPR...It is an AWESOME opportunity! GO FOR IT~ you will be glad you did! Take care~
