What type of First Aid qualification do you need to enter a boxing coach course?

i'm being put forward for an assistant boxing coach's course and have been told I need a first aid qualification, but how basic or advanced does this have to be?
will a basic course be sufficiant, or do i need to go for a more advanced level of first aid?
