i read somewhere you only have to be 12 to volunteer at american red cross, is that true?

can a 12 year old get paid to work /volunteer at tha red cross?

1. I don't know if you can get paid but you can volunteer. Youth Volunteers/Programs: Students are encouraged to volunteer answering phones, doing office work, help with mailings, preparing materials for classes and computer data entry.

Friendly Visitor Program: Volunteers provide the gift of companionship to homebound senior citizens.

These are typical local Red Cross volunteer opportunities. Not every Red Cross local unit will offer all of these opportunities.
