How much should I charge for an 8:30 to 4:30 day shift of babysitting if I am American Red Cross certified?

I am certified specifically in the Babysittign department of the American Red Cross course and I just want to be able to provide a fair amount to me and my employer. I am told I will be watching a 13 month old for 8 hours during the day. Does any babysitter or parent have any advice for how much I should charge; I want to be fair, but 8 hours during the day with a 13 month old and my certification should mean something, right?

1. You should charge at least 7dlls an hour.
It would be around 60 dlls a day... i think its fair, but it depends on your employer. If they are affluent you can charge more. Ask them.
