Putting together an Emergency SHTF Kit... sterilizer?

I am making an Emergency Preparedness Kit. I have all the basics in there, some non-perishable foods, first aid kit, rain poncho, TP, pocket knives etc etc...

What sterilizer should I add to it? Rubbing Alcohol? Hydro-Peroxide? Iodine? Rum or Whiskey? (Seriously, is rum or whiskey good for sterilization, as it would also be good for other things in case of SHTF)

1. Personally I keep peroxide for helping to "bubble" dirt out of wounds and I also keep rubbing alcohol around but rely mostly on a large bottle of betadyne for killing bacteria. My experience with betadyne has been very good for skin infections.

As for "drinking" alcohol... it'll work to help kill some bacteria, but why waste it? Since you're making a survival kit for when things go bad, having some vodka or whatever, on hand would be a good thing.

In gact keeping some "booze" around for SHTF for yourself or for trading could be a very good idea.
