Have you ever thought of joining or creating a C.E.R.T. (community emergency response team) in your area?

These teams are a great way to learn emergency preparedness skills.

Public Comments

1. Yes, I have done so. I agree it's a great idea. Professionals can be quickly overwhelmed in a disaster.

2. We have 911

3. I was a cadet in Civil Air Patrol in the late 1960's and early 1970's. We had all sorts of Civil Defense training. I was a Red Cross First Aid Instructor, Assistant Fallout Shelter Manager, Decontamination Team member then Team Leader and finally Cadet Communications Officer for the State of NM for SAR during the last year as a Cadet. I still remember the training, I hope yours is as in depth.

4. i've got enough to do without playing the CERT politics game.

As a ham radio op, Red Cross local and DSHR volunteer, a Salvation Army SATERN volunteer, and registered with three surrounding counties EMA as a communications specialist, I do not have the time or patience to play their petty little games.

5. Yes a anti fascist C.E.R.T. teams should be formed in every neighborhood . Beat them down and take back your country .
