LDS Emergency Preparedness And Heat? ?

I had this thought today, what if the tribulation happens durring the winter time and there is no heat because everything is shut down. So no matter how much food and water I have, I'll eventually freeze to death, die from ammonia or cold. Now you people who have fire places will be fine but what about those of us who live in apartments and have no fire place. Where are we going to get heat?
ALSO, if I live in an apartment durring the tribulation and all the banks are shut down, how am I going to pay my rent? Am I going to live on the street with my food and water storage?
My manager might be screwed anyways since he can't get his money out of the bank either.

1. Gee I guess this "tribulation" that you so violently pray for day in and day out, has it's downside.
Who'd have thought it? That the death of every man, woman and child on earth might not be as glorious as you hoped huh?

2. You know your religion is wrong when the bible describes a rapture. And all the faithful will be gone before the tribulation happens. anytime folks. your not getting to many more chances. This isnt a game.

3. Well, in all honesty, if it's bad enough that you have to worry about this in the first place, it's going to be chaos everywhere. I don't think your rent will be your biggest problem.

And stop worrying so much. It's common sense to have food storage and things like that, but if it ever really gets this bad, the church will step in. There are people in every ward whose calling it is to plan for things like this. If it's bothering you this much, just find out who it is and talk to them. They'll be able to give you advice, if nothing else.

4. I doubt you'll be kicked out of your apartment. Your landlord will have bigger things to worry about.

Maybe you could stay at a neighbors who does have a fireplace, or have lots and lots of blankets and hand warmers.

5. what is a tribulation? people freeze without energy.

6. Following the Bible and not the Left Behind silliness will give you a better clue as how to be prepared for trouble and to be ready for Christ to call us home....

7. your home teachers and ward members will help you im sure. Invite you into their home. Also blankets could help. But I'm sure you will figure somethin out.
