I am certified by the Red Cross on CPR and first aid, should I put that on my resume?

I am looking for a Health Care job in the Ophthalmology field. I want to know if that would make my resume more attractive to health care employers .

1. definitely! it doesn't matter what job you're going for these are great skills to have and will be a bonus to any employer :) good luck with the job application!

2. In my humble opinion it would. The fact that you have taken voluntary steps to further yourself should always be mentioned.

3. You have valuable training. It is relevant and important. So, YES, put it on your resume.

5. That's definitely a useful and important skill to have. Go for it. Even if your employer won't care, what do you have to lose? Putting this on your resume could be a first step to building trust with your employer. Definitely do it.

7. Yes put it on there, in any health care setting it is very important. But in this day and age almost any job may require it. My dad is a powerlineman and it is required for all of his workers. My husband is a plumber and it was required before he could get his masters.

8. Yes! The last section on my resume is professional associations, certifications, and experiences. I have all my certifications written down.
