what are the emergency cases that first aid is applied?

Public Comments

1. This is a broad subject....you have someone not breathing, having difficulty breathing. Chockeing, heart attack, any type of gaping wound, broken bones, severe burns. The list goes on.

2. Any time a person's life is in danger it is cause for emergency first aid. That being said, the list of cases would be a very long one. Here are a few.
Heart-attack victims
Free bleeding injuries that could cause a person to bleed to death.
Choking victims
Drowning victims
Crash victims, depending on the injury
Victims who get run over by automobile
Sporting accidents
Gunshot victims.

Like I said, any injury, that could cause someone their life if first aid is NOT applied immediately, regardless of how they received the injury, is cause for emergency first aid.

3. Cardiac and breathing emergencies, head/neck/back injuries, bleeding emergencies, car crashes, fires, broken bones, internal/extenal bleeding, choking, drowing...you name it. First aid is used all the time. Cleaning a scrape and putting a band-aid on it is considered first aid.
