How can we collect food cans for emergency food aid?

Anyone! any suggestions please?
we are a group of students and we want to do food donations to some countries facing food crisis this winter. We are looking for food in cans (fish, beans, etc) who will donate? sources?

1. We did a donation last year. We had "The Morning Commute Donation". We had groups at 4 Wal-Marts in the area that collected and people donating did not even have to get out of the car. They just drove up rolled down the window and left their donations (and we had some local business support us and gave us coupons to hand out to those who donated). We got a Morning talk show host involved who plugged it for us for a week plus we ran ads with the local paper. Good Luck with you food drive. Hope i helped.
