Help me choose the people that DOES NOT deserve to live.?

Okay here's how the story goes: NOTE: May I advice you to read the story thoroughly.

" A ship has sunk thousands of kilometers from land in shark-infested waters. Many hundreds of people died. However, 11 people have made it into a lifeboat. The boat comes equipped with 1) A Knife 2) A Compass and 3) A Couple of Oars. The problem is, however, that the lifeboat is in serious danger of capsizing as its capacity is STRICTLY FOR 8 PEOPLE. Furthermore, although it is equipped with some emergency rations (muesli bars and water), supplies are LIMITED and cater ONLY FOR 8 PEOPLE for three days. In order for the group to survive, THREE PEOPLE WILL HAVE TO BE SACRIFICED. Decide who the THREE PEOPLE will be from the list below. "

(1) Paul: 12 year old autistic boy. Physically he is healthy. However, he has the mental age of a four year old child. He is affectionate and loving, and despite the discomfort on the lifeboat, he seems cheerful and uncomplaining.

(2) Emma: 34 year old mother of Paul. She is fiercely protective of her son and she is becoming increasingly angry and upset with some of the other people on the boat. She has confided in Marcia (the other woman on the lifeboat) that her husband and other child died in a car accident two years prior.

(3) Richard: A well known 80 year old physicist in good health. He has won various prizes including the Nobel Prize for his scientific discoveries. He has a large family, which includes is wife, five children and a dozen grandchildren, all who adore him. He is a calming influence on the others. He has already volunteered to sacrifice himself.

(4) David: In his early 30s. He is an engineer. He suffered no injuries during the accident, however he had a brief episode of hysteria when he thought he could see a shark. He is unmarried and has no children, and openly talk about his male partner.

(5) Jim: an experienced 30 year old steward. He was in charge of the lifeboat but he was knocked unconscious during the accident. No one has any idea what the extent of his injuries are, although his arm looks seriously broken and he is bleeding from a gash in his head.

(6) Angela: 24 year old paraplegic woman. Involved in a cycling accident when she was 18 years old and has been in a wheelchair ever since. She is a very strong swimmer and recently won a bronze medal in the Special Olympics. She is the only person on the boat to have any basic first aid training.

(7) Brian: A fit and healthy 28 year old politician. He was recently accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from a relief fund, which was supposed to go to Pakistan. Although he was found not guilty, many people believed he did it.

(8) Father Thomas: 60 year old Catholic priest. He is praying and trying to keep peoples' spirit up by singing hymns which is helping some people but annoying others. He is not in good physical shape and is unable to row the boat. He is allergic to nuts. He too, has volunteered to be a sacrifice.

(9) Jane: 8 year old girl. She is the only survivor in her family and she seems to be rather traumatized. She has yet to speak.

(10) Marcia: career woman in her mid 40s. She has no children and she is divorced. She has kept it together and is doing a good job of helping and supporting others. She is obese.

(11) Jack: 21 year old builder. He is in great shape. He is unhurt and furthermore, he is a keen fisherman which means he knows his way around boats, can navigate and catch fish. He is however, aggressive, racist, and generally intolerant with others. He has already insensitively suggested that the "cripple", the "retard" and the "faggot" to be thrown overboard. He may become violent.

Sorry if this is too long. So please choose the worst three people that deserves to be thrown overboard. Credits to my teacher and those responsible of writing this up.

Public Comments

1. I say 3,8, and 5

2. Anyone Above age 30 , Anyone under has not experience life enough to die

3. Your teacher may be asked for testing your intelligence or your kindness/hardness at a particular time. But things are not like that. If your teacher faced such a situation, immediately the other people must throw your teacher first without observing any kindness. This is not the way a teacher should teach less ions. In this world all are equally important and every body loves their own life first. Who were we to throw them ? and what right we are having to throw them ? All must live or all must die.

4. I used to get these kind of things when I was in high school. There were always one or two students who simply refused to choose which people would be killed, and that seems to me like the only right response. The problems artificially limit your choices so you "have to" kill three people. There is no such requirement in real life. People can be creative and come up with alternatives not mentioned in the problem; or they can agree to act like ethical human beings and choose to protect all the survivors, even if it means the eventual death of all.
The whole premise behind this kind of question is immoral, and personally, I would refuse to participate.

5. 4 and 11 and maybe 5 if injury where too bad.
This show who you like the least or your standard of living.
