What kind of experience and/or degrees do I need to become an emergency aid relief worker?

What does it take to be able to work with some kind of releif agency? Maybe the Red Cross or something? To be able to go and help people during natural disasters like those in currently plauging China and Myanmar...

1. Emergency aid relief workers come in all stripes, Doctors, nurses, heavy equipment operators, general laborers, and anything else you can think of.
It is not so much an educational degree that is necessary, as the degree of involvement necessary to make a difference.
