D. aspirin.

Public Comments

1. First of all, vitamins aren't an "emergency" staple. You really don't need them.

Secondly, a knife, scalpel, or anything else shouldn't be used by ANYONE except a trained professional. You can introduce bacteria into the skin, not to mention doing more damage than is already done. You should just leave blood blisters alone.

That being said, here is my recommendations for a basic first aid kit:

1. Sterile Saline Wash (for irrigating wounds or foreign bodies in the eyes)
2. Antiseptic Pads
3. Burn Cream
4. 2-4 of each - 2x2 and 4x4 sterile gauze
5. Butterfly closures
6. ACE Bandage
7. Assorted Band-Aids
8. Antibiotic Ointment
9. Apsrin
10. "KLING" gauze roll

You can add or subtract as you want!

2. multi vitamins are kinda pointless, defiantly not needed for an emergency kit. make sure you have a bandage and some sort of disinfectant with cotton buds to apply it with. Make sure you have heaps of band aids to they always help.
tweezers- to get those annoying splinters
that should do you a pair of scissors comes in hand for cutting bandages, fingernails, opening stuff so is really handy just to have with you and it you never know when they are needed.

3. I would say "A" but asprin is important to. If a person experiancing a heart attack takes asprin when the pain starts it can sugnificantly reduce the amount of damage the heart attack will end up causing. But in this case the answer is "A"

4. "A" and "D"

"A" Mostly but "D" is good to have like the person above said in case of a heart attack.

Also it should have a knife or some sort of sharp cutting tool. But NOT to cut open blisters.
