Is Army Basic Training Combat Lifesaving the Equivalent of Basic First Aid Certification?

ok so i guess i worded it weird. what i really want to know is: how much first aid do you learn in the Combat Lifesavers course? is it as much as a Red Cross basic first aid cert.? how long do recruits in bct spend on it? thank you.

1. What you receive in basic is CLS. Combat life savers course. Not sure what you are comparing it to. Basic first aid? Some more info would help. Is it training that your company is putting out or something?

2. I don't know what you mean by "basic first aid certification." Do you mean Basic Life Support certification (as in CPR class)? If so, then no. BLS is it's own certification program separate from Combat Lifesaver.

3. BLS and CLS is two different things.
