Would I be recognised in American Red Cross?

So I had this Lifeguard Training in Philippine Red Cross in Davao City... Which I think is a bit heavier than in ARC

Approximately, I think the course lasted for like 200 hours.

Included are swimming phase, survival phase and lifesaving phase.

We had 15 days of heavy training... physical fitness training included per day... a total of at least 9 hours per day...

Then we had 3 days on our final exam... which was the hardest... considering that we only had around 3-4 hours of sleep.

BLS-CPR and First Aid were included....

So I'm wondering if it's enough to be qualified enough to volunteer in ARC when I get back in the US, or do I have to train again or take some other kind of course to be recognised...

1. Contact the Red Cross thru their website - they should be able to answer you

2. I think having the basic BLS-CPR would be good, but I'd also try to get ACLS as well. You can do it online relatively quickly. I took it at www.ACLScertification.com and it was a great program. When do you get back into the US and plan to volunteer?
