Does the American Red Cross pay you for donating Plasma?

I am wanting to donate plasma for some money but I am confused as to whether or not the American Red Cross pays you to donate plasma? I read one part that says it does and another says it doesnt. So does anyone know for sure whether they do or not?

1. no, the red cross doesn't. but there are other places that do, in the city i live in are two different places to donate blood and plasma for money
