how does a college freshmen like me get a first aid certification?

i need a letter to show admissions to this college in florida

1. First choice go into your local Red Cross And tell them that you want to get first certified.. after there schedule you for an 4 hour training but first you have to paid like 50 bucks or something like that I only paid 35 in my local Red Cross But i got it trough my Job.
