Why is it they say Never move a casualty with a spinal injury unless it's a must, but in my first aid course?
a MUST, such as drowning or a burning house, but in my first aid course they showed us how to move a casualty with a spinal injury , putting them into the recovery position such as unconscious breathing casualty, they told us (and showed us how)to MOVE them into the recovery position (so they dont choke on their tongue), keeping the head, neck and spine all aligned.
My question is then why do they always say Dont move them??

1. A MUST = life or death situation.
If someone has a spinal injury but they're not about to die on you because they're somewhere safe, DON'T MOVE THEM unless it's neccessary, because you'll make it worse for them - i.e., people with spinal injury can recover sometimes, but if you move them wrong, they may be handicapped forever because you could ruin their spine beyond repair.
But if someone has a spinal injury and they're somewhere dangerous (for example, they fell down a bunch of rocks and they're unconscious, bleeding out, and there is a chance that they'll fall even more and actually DIE), then you MUST move them - because between handicapped and death, handicapped is obviously the better choice.
So basically, you move them if there's a high chance that they're going to die if you don't. Otherwise, just call the paramedics and DO NOT MOVE THEM. :)
2. Because choking is a must. It doesn't matter if they have a spinal injury if you let them choke to death.

4. Exactly... only move them if there is immediate danger to them. Then if you have to move them then do it so the risk of causing more serious injury is reduced..Thats why you get taught how to move them
