1. This is what you need. http://www.walmart.com/ip/10731593?wmlspartner=GPA&sourceid=44444444440271670943

2. 1. Food, uh try the grocer.
2. Make reservations at the nearest hotel.
3. Deet works best for bugs, a .357 mag for the rest.
4. Summer nights wear shorts and a t-shirt, Winter wear long johns.
5. If you know what the edible plants are no problem, if you don't and do eat well it's nice knowing you.

3. Here's the deal. Prioritize.

3 Minutes. Three minutes without oxygen, and you are dead. make sure you can breathe.
3 Hours. Three Hours without the correct environmental temperature, and you are dead.
3 Days. Three days without water, and you might not be dead, but you will behave as if you are.
3 Weeks. Three weeks without "real food" and you start getting in trouble.

With all that said, you can figure out your number #1 pretty well. Same with number 2. You don't need to know all the particulars, you just need to apply the formula.

Protecting yourself from insects etc. Fire will protect you from a lot. Think about it. Not just fire, but the smoke for bugs and with fire you can make deadly tools.

Proper clothing. Ask someone who is homeless in Alabama. Study why experts LOVE WOOL, no matter what the climate.

Edible plants. Those are your survival backbone, IF you take the time to learn them. They will help you with food, help you stop the squirts if you drink bad water, give you fiber for cordage. Eating wildlife, you must eat meat, which contains some fat, if you are going to survive in the wild. If you don't you will freeze to death when it is cold, and die.
