Question about dewclaws?!!?!? help?

i have a young Mountain feist, and this morning she ripped her front dewclaw almost off it is still attached but not by much. i was wondering if it would be safe to just pull it off? she is a hunting dog so she gets hurt alot out in the woods so i shes tough. i cant take her to the vet cause mine is not open on sunday and im not take her to the emergency animal hospital for a dew claw. i have a dog first aid kid so im able to stop the bleeding and i know how to do it. just want some insight!

1. whats a dewclaw???

2. Wait until your vet is open tomorrow and have them remove it properly.

3. If you have "Vet wrap" in the first aid kit use it to hold the toe on and stop the bleeding. Take your dog to the vet first thing tomorrow. Do not just pull it off, that would probably make it much worse. If she is out in the bush hunting a lot it would be best to get the vet to remove her dew claws properly.
