what are some things i need just in case of emergency?

like i have a puppy and i was wondering if like i need a first aid kit if so what kind, is there anything i can get cheap to teach me what to do in emergency situations and i carry my vets number with me at all times but is their anything else i need. it my first dog and im trying to do the best i can to make sure he stays safe thanks
