i'm applying to be a counselor at a dance camp, given that i'll be responsible for a bunch of kids they'd like me to have some knowledge of first aid and be certified in CPR

does anyone know what kind of places offer these courses?
and do you know how long it will take to complete?

the job starts in July, i'd like to be prepared well before then

just please fill me in on how i go about doing this.

1. Red Cross.

2. Go to your local red cross. Basic CPR will take less then 8 hours.

3. You can also contact your local Fore Dept. Ambulance service and or local hospitals they all have classes in First Aid and CPR. The American Heat Assoc. has classes. The CPR class will take around 4 hours and the First Aid class will be 3-4 hours as well. Good luck in finding a class, Have fun.

4. Look over family classes and babysitting classes. If you live near a YMCA they might have a course there starting in June. Hope I helped!

5. Red Cross "Adult CPR, AED, and First Aid", possibly adding or exchanging 'Adult' for 'Child and Infant'. Your loca Red Cross, YMCA, etc. may offer the class and it will run about 6 hours.
