Running for President of the American Red Cross club at my High School?

I am running to be president for Red Cross at my high school next year, and I have a couple of days to prepare my speech..I really don't know how to start it off, but i know what i do want to do, like I have an idea... ANY ADVICE?

1. Well being president of the American Red Cross club is a HUGE deal. You must have some strong feelings about the group and helping humanity if you want to be the head of a group like this. Make sure you put those feelings into words! Don't bore people with the typical 'if I became president I'd organize meetings better' and all that jazz, appeal to the fact that the other members are there because they are also passionate about helping others. Tell them what you would change, or what you'd make different, but make sure it relates to the work you do and not as much with the organization. If there are major problems the club has, like organization, address them briefly. This is just my personal opinion - If I were a member I'd be more attracted to a speech that focused on how you're going to make this group as effective as possible in your community.
