What is the best way to get a job babysitting?

My friend babysits all the time and I really was to. I have done the red cross babysitting course, first aid course, and CPR training course and have the papers to prove it. I'm really good with kids. I can cook and take care of them. I just need to get a job babysitting!!! Any ideas on how to do that?

Public Comments

1. have children

2. People post ads in the newspaper all the time looking for babysitters. maybe you should check there.

3. Post letters round doors in the neighborhood that you know have kids, and attach a photo copy of a CPR or redcross training to it.

4. Sign up on SitterCity.com.

Ask for referrals from your friends, you mom's friends, your aunts and uncles, etc.

Create some easy flyers and post them on local bulletin boards (in grocery stores, libraries, etc)

Use your myspace/facebook to advertise that you do babysitting and maybe someone you know will be able to refer you.

You could also apply for a part-time or full-time job at a daycare center or learning center...they love people with first aid/CPR training.

5. I think that you are definitely on the right track, all those courses are Great to take just in general, I would suggest putting together a resume, check the wanted ads in your local newspaper, maybe even craigslist? I know my sister got into babysitting by watching friends children and then friends of friends and just networked out. Whatever you can do to get your name out there and people know that your trustworthy you should be ok, best of luck!!
