Is my CPR/First Aid Certification Void?

I took a CPR/First Aid class to become certified. (I did it for personal reasons, nothing work related). Well, they send you a card in the mail to flash people incase you do end up having to use your skills, and on the card they spelt my name wrong. It was only a letter off, but still, does this make the certification void?

This may sound silly, but people are sue happy these days, and if its void, and I'm not protected under Good Submaritan (which comes with the certification) I could be in trouble.

1. I'm sure it's fine. But if you are so worried, just have them send you a new card with the right name on it. I'm sure they'd be happy to do so.

2. It shouldn't be a problem, as long as it is close to your name. Call the organization you took your class from and they should send you another card, but its not a big deal.

3. When you take CPR classes they have records of you. Those could be looked up if there was a need. You just call the place you took it. They will send you a new corrected card.

4. you should be fine ,,,,, and just ask for a new 1

5. Laws are tricky at the best of times, so don't worry about the spelling. I would let the relevant people at the training centre know and request they fix the spelling.
As for getting sued, don't be too worried about this happening. In order for someone to be successful in suing, they must convince a judge that it was deliberate or negligence. In an emergency situation, you can still be sued if you do not assist.
But overall, the certificate should be peace of mind for yourself that you would be confident enough to offer aid while waiting of paramedics to arrive. All the best. Jase
