Higher levels of first aid?

I have basic CPR and first aid certification and I was wondering if there are higher levels of training. I don't want nursing training or some thing like that but training that could be used in the woods or just on the street. I live near Waltham MA in case anyone knows a program in that area.

1. Have you looked into EMT training (Emergency Medical Technician). They often have classes for this at community colleges. You can contact your local fire department to find a program near you as well.

2. There are many levels above basic FA:
(sort of in order from basic to complex)

Wilderness First Aid
Wilderness Advanced First Aid
Wilderness First Responder
Outdoor Emergency Care
EMT
Wilderness EMT

I don't know the courses in your part of the country, but generally, these are easily found by a google (or Yahoo) search. Another source might be your local Sierra Club or similar club.
