How do I get certified in first aid?

I studied first aid for a year (including CPR), separated from the red cross. What do I have to do in order to become certified? Does the red cross certify people in first aid?

1. contact your local Red Cross, community college, or ambulance service for class dates & prices.

2. The red cross has classes that they offer. Your local community center may as well. And Also some hospitals offer class.
