Public Comments

1. Different courses take different lengths, ie I took mine from about 9AM-1PM on saturday for 4 weeks, but a friend of mine took it about 9AM- 4PM on both saturday and sunday and then was done. THink of it as a full weekend though. Check the scheduling at your local rec centre or I know some churches do it too, actually.

2. I've taught Red Cross classes for 10+ years. While some of the classes are scheduled to run over multiple days, most just take a day.

Adult CPR/AED with First Aid usually takes about 7 hours.
Child and Infant CPR with First Aid also takes about 7 hours
Adult, Child, and Infant CPR/AED with First Aid takes about 9.5 hours
CPR Made Simple (no certification or first aid section, adult CPR only) takes about an hour.
CPR for the Professional Rescuer takes about 8.5 hours

Your local chapter may have a website, calendars, etc. they can offer to help you find what you need.
