What ways could I make money with Wilderness First Aid certification?

Its a wilderness first responder certification.

Public Comments

1. Do you like working in the outdoors?
Do you have Lifeguard or swimming instructor, or some other sporting qualifications?

If so why not look at joining up with the YMCA, or some outdoor educator, or summer camps. It maybe worth looking into what they require there staff to have, to become a team member.

You may have to do a few other courses, to met their requirements.

Good luck

2. park ranger, firefighter, tour guide, smoke jumper...

3. Don't get to excited over the Firefighter part, you still need certifications. Try camp jobs, or the YMCA.

4. ranger (forest ) or guide in national park and rescue a scout leader so many things you can do or start with just that one thing

5. Usually people get this certification to be more prepared in the outdoors. It's not in itself a very in-depth course. I would not plan on making money but having the priceless benefit of being able to help someone in need.

If you want to be paid to provide rescue, you need to be at least an Emergency Medical Technician, and preferably a paramedic.

But your certification may lead you to more interesting jobs such as a trail guide or park docent. Good luck!
