What training/visa requirements do i need to become an au-pair?

Im a 22 yr old college graduate, and I really hate my office job. I have a passion for taking care of kids, and Im thinking about becoming an au-pair in Europe. As an American, I know that there are certain things I need to do before that can happen, but I really dont know where I should start. I have CPR and first Aid Certification, but I know that I gotta have more knowledge in order to be accepted by a family. Do au-pair classes exist? I bought a book entitled "An Aupair & Nannies Guide To Working Abroad", but I would like to know if there's a class thats offered before presenting myself to any agency. Any suggestions? Please help.

1. You may want to contact Au Pair in America. They could probably tell you what their requirements are and refer you to classes, mentor or trainer.
