Should I continue working on my novel "Unaltered"?

I need some feedback. I want to know if I should continue working on Unaltered. I know the main structure of the trilogy, (I am planning a trilogy, the first being Unaltered) and I know pretty much what the plotline will for be Unaltered. I am currently working on chapter 6. Everybody that has been reviewing what I have done so far says I am doing a very good job. I am debating; however, if I will continue. Should I? Please read this sypnosis and tell me what you think. I will try to summarize without giving away any spoilers just in case I do continue. Here is the basic sypnosis:

Sam Johnson is on death row for the brutal murder of Marilyn Li. He knows he is innocent, but no one believes him because of the crazy delusions that have haunted him all of his life. He is sentenced to death. His wait time is short; only 4 years. When execution day comes, he has no resistance. Sam "dies" by lethal injection. He wakes in a strange world inhabited by cyborgs. He finds the world war torn between two groups, the steriles and the organics. The steriles are technologically enhanced while the organics are, well, organically enhanced through the heavy use of drugs.

In the sterile city of Perfection, Sam lives in semi-secrecy with a few friendly steriles. He is treated like an animal, or in this case, an organic. Some refer to him as an unaltered, some just call him an organic. It is not safe in Perfection for him in this time period. The city is going through a change and strongly encouraging all citizens to undergo emotion removal. The organics are at war with the steriles, and are attacking Perfection frequently.

I am trying to go in as little detail as possible.

He disrupts the __________ and __________ (spoilers) and starts a riot. He goes on the run, for he can not stay because of the oppressive L.E. (the police) force. He soon finds a terrible secret of Perfection. He escapes the city into the organic wilderness. It is a violent world. The organic city, Chafu Mahali, is less accepting. He is attacked and, with some misadventures, runs out. Sam is stuck in the middle of a war... with neither side on his aid. Are there other unaltereds like him out there? Is there a place for him in this new world?

I have to admit, that was a bad symnosis. I tried to not go in much detail. I did not state anything but the outline of the plot. If anyone would want to know more, just ask. Back to the main point, should I continue working on it?
I love it. I want to continue, That is the reason I am asking. I want to know if people will like it. I do not want to be wasting my time if people do not enjoy my work.

Public Comments

1. How far are you? If you're not that far then scrap it, because you don't seem to like it.

2. woah what an imagination!
go on, it sounds cool, i'd read it :)
goodluck!!!!!

3. I think you should! It sounds really interesting, and it would definitely be a book that I would pick up.

However, if you don't *want* to keep working on it, then maybe put it away for a bit and come back to it when you feel inspired to. In my experience, I know that if I'm writing something and I don't want to be, then it won't turn out very good at all. :(

So it's really up to you. But I think the plot is original and enthralling, and I hope you decide to continue it!!

4. do me a favor. finish writing that, publish it, and make sure it's at a borders. i need to read it.

its a really good plot... very imaginative and smart. I love it too. And it doesn't matter if people will enjoy your work. Finish it because you like it... not everyone's going to like what you write. I hear people criticize Harry Potter and Twilight all the times. Both of those book made the best seller lists, so clearly people are going to be haters.

keep writing. its a good plot.

5. You should finish it. Do what you want. If you took the time to put your brainwork into words, the time was not wasted. It doesn't matter if people don't like it. (The book sounds good though.)
