What do you think of a babysitter for the autistic?

Would parents trust a babysitter with their autistic child?
-would they prefer the babysitter to be trained by red cross in First Aid or other applicable course?

What would the babysitter do to entertain an autistic child? Certain games or activities to help the child?

Thanks... just curious
*interacting.

of course, babysitters are supposed to interact with the children :]

Public Comments

1. all parents of typical or disabled want babysitters that can hanlde emergenies (first aid) and have a clue about chidl developemnt

many parents of kids with disabilities do tend to look for people with experience with disabilities

it depends on what the childs needs are what the parent will expect

providing meals, helping with hygiene, INTERQACTING (not just entertaining)
