3. You do not necessarily need to take an accredited first aid course with the Red Cross although that is an excellent source.

Go to Google or Yahoo and enter first aide course and the name of both your town and state. You will probably obtain a number of different sources.

Go to http://www.redcross.org/where/where.html enter your zip code and you will be directed to you local Red Cross chapter.
