Have Americans lost their independence?

Settlers to America forged a nation in a wilderness. Without any welfare system, social security system, or national healthcare system, they survived. They fed their families, built homes, and raised crops without any government aid.
Today, Americans seem to turn to the government for every solution to the problems of life. Many Americans seem to think big government can solve big problems in their lives. They fail to see that every one of life's problems ceded to the government also cedes freedom of choice. Every problem ceded to government cedes independence.
One by one, big government will remove the choices in life, for your own safety of course. Government sponsored healthcare will come with a lot more rules than just wearing a seatbelt when you drive.
Are you ready to lose what little independence you may have left?

2. No. I am opposed to everything the government gets involved in besides national security, homeland security and maintaining an intra-state infrastructure.

3. We've been hijacked by foriegn interests. they own our ports, our roads, our govt., our currency etc. we're doomed if we don't fight the "NEW WORLD ORDER"

4. The parties are so close now and big business and the lobbyists have them in their back pockets .

They laugh behind our backs when we fight over the Democrat or Republican party/candidates because they line their pockets, get the perks,get the best retirement and health care.

Nothing will happen until America starts voting out the incumbents no matter what party they are until they get the message .....

WE the AMERICAN PEOPLE are in charge not the lobbyists,not the ceo's,not the special interest groups.
