Is there any way I can get free first aid supplies? I self harm and can't afford the medical/ first aid supplies I need. I do not want to go to the doctors or A&E because it is pointless, but I really need to get regular supplies because I have to change the dressings very regularly, and I almost always have something that definitely needs to be dressed and covered. Please don't lecture me on stopping, I have tried and am now trying to cut down. Does anyone know anywhere in the UK that could send anything, or any charities that offer them? Thank you for your answers.
First Aid??!!? If you were trapped on an island, what frst aid supplies would you need besides the obvious such as bandages, anticeptic and thermometers? I need FIRST AID ITEMS.. NOT food and what not. [thank you Shar D for remembering this] !!!!
Deep backwoods hike first aid kit supplies. How to obtain? My husband and two of his friends are going on a hiking trip and will be liven off the land. They will be out of contact of everyone with no cell reception "maybe HAM radio reception" for about one month deep in mountain country. We have a first aid kit but their are things they would like to add and where informed that they needed to complete a few forms to be able to get the items. I can not find what forms or any other answers on how to obtain the supplies they would like to take. Supplies include Penicillin Novacaine snake bit vaccine "rattle snake and copper head" Pain killer of some short. Hydrocodone, Peracet ect. They need these due to if anything thing happens and they can get a hold of a rangers station. By the time they got to them it would be to late. Does anyone know how they can obtain these items? Do not answer stock pile them or save your old prescriptions for that may work for a few items but not all of them plus that is the wrong way of doing it.
Israel targeting aid supplies considered targeting civilians? A UN building where food and medical supplies were being stored was hit today and set on fire with phosphorus fires which only generate toxic fumes when water is put on them to put them out. How much longer can they hide behind their already weak excuse that they aren't targeting civilians, only Hamas? Is destroying relief supplies in this manner a direct violation of UN resolutions?
How do I get financial aid for living expenses and supplies, not tuition? I am going to a small private couture school abroad and US financial aid does not work with that school. My tuition is being paid for by the school but I still need financial aid to afford the numerous supplies that I am going to need as well as daily living expenses. Are there any student loans for people in my position?
Illegal to smuggle aid supplies? I was wondering if it would be illegal for a US citizen to smuggle aid supplies (food, water, medicine, etc) into a country that doesn't allow foreign aid? I realize it would be amazingly dangerous and illegal in the given country, but would it be punishable by US law if I were to return to the US?
What supplies should I include in my Grooming and first aid list? I just got the shock of my life when my Father finally let me free lease this amazing Quarter Horse! After I started to calm down, I realized I'll need a list of things to buy from the Tack shop. Now don't get me wrong, I have been preparing for this and know what to include in a grooming kit, but I'm afraid I might be forgetting something. So, basically, just to make sure I'll be getting everything I was wondering if anyone had a list of supplies I will need for my Grooming and First Aid kits? Thanks! Katie

Is Secretary General Ban aware of the fact that necessary and rudimentary aid supplies have been diverted? such as First Aid Kits have been diverted from proper placement locations into the hands of NGOs that have not established the return of such supplies to sources that distribute to affected persons. How to send supplies for orphans in Russia? Privet! I have some things that I would like to send to a Russian orphanage (or maybe several orphanages). It's basic things like clothing, first aid packs, school supplies, etc... Can anyone tell me what would be the best way to ship these things without them getting stolen or something like that? Is it a good idea to send by a courier company where it can be traced like UPS, DHL, FedEx, etc..?? Or is the absolute best way is to just bring it myself? Spasiba! Poka! =)
Do you have a Pet First Aid Kit? Are you prepared for a pet emergency? You can buy a kit or make your own. Even some minimal supplies can save your pet till it can get to the vet ! This is not an ad, I don't sell things, just suggesting a good idea. ebay has some for sale or you can google pet first aid kit or dog first aid kit and find several. I would probably buy one and add to it. My friend's kit helped us stabilize my dog's 2 broken front legs till we got to the emergency vet. The vet was impressed we'd done such a good job setting the legs for him.
What can we do to provide better Student Aid? I need some opinions regarding how we as a nation can do a better job with the dilemma of supplying Student Aid to students seeking higher education. Who should get it? How is it funded? How is it distributed? Thank you for your thoughts!
any ideas on raising money for college (books, supplies, and new computer not covered by financial aid)? i'm returning to college after a loooooong lapse. i'll be starting October 1st in a fashion marketing program. financial aid will be paying the majority of my tuition (thank you federal grants and loans!) and the rest i can pay off in installments. the problem i have is that i have to come up with upwards of $2000 for books, supplies, and a specific laptop before i can even start classes. i've considered making and selling some of my purses to help, but the cost of supplies pretty much eats away the profits. i do have a part-time job, but i am also a single parent with a child to support. does anyone have any original fundraising ideas that might help me out?

I've been looking online to see if I could find what the requirements are as far as first aid kits in classrooms. Or, are they fine as long as the supplies are in the office?

What can I do legally about losing my job due to an employer's zeal? I worked for a multi-store, multi-state company. My employer dismissed me for alleging "improper possession of store merchandise". They have and never could validate proof of this and two seperate review processes of the Board of Labor (For Unemployment benefits) determined this. What can I do since this is not my fault? The area where this was alleged is open to all empolyees (24 people daily) and all customers (Approximately 60-80 per day) and is not locked or secured in any way. No evidence was given by the employer other than "I had to know it was there" and the employee who actually found the merchandise in a drawer. Statements given at time of Dismissal by the personnel director stated "Would not have found merchandise if they had not been searching for First Aid supplies".. yet at the BOL hearing it was stated they were searching for a work order. Thanks for any help or suggestions.
Horse first aid kit?? what do you/should be included in your horses first aid kit? Please list any supplies that could be useful, even if it's just one. and i've heard of a lot of people who have one first aid kit for horse and rider. I've always kept two, one for horse and one for rider, because i wouldn't be able to keep that many supplies neat in one kit. What do you prefer? One large kit or two smaller kits?

What supplies and/or knowledge do you think would be important in order to walk across the USA? I am seriously considering this when my lease is up in a few months. Obviously one would need a tent, a sleeping bag or some sort of sleeping roll, a mess kit, a good damp-proof lighter or damp-proof matches, and some idea of what direction to go (a compass and a map?) Also a first-aid kit would be a necessity, as would a flashlight. To prepare, I want to learn as extensively as possible about edible vs nonedible herbs and plants across the US, does anyone have a good book they copuld recommend, with color photos and descriptions, etc? I want to start in Philly and make my way west, probably heading out as straight as possible, starting in the spring. Obviously if I'm still out when the weather gets colder I'll move my path further south. I just think it sounds like an incredible thing to do, and I want to hear from anyone who thinks they have a good idea for a supply I would need, or if anyone's done it before, I'd like to hear from you especially about your experiences!

I want to have a fishtank, what supplies do I need? I'm looking to have a freshwater fishtank (I'm not fond of saltwater ones), and I was wondering: What kinds of things should I get for it and what should I have around in the case of mishaps (water's wrong, etc. I guess a "First aid" kit for the tank/fish). What kind of filter is best? What's a good kind of gravel to get? Are live plants better than fake ones? I know my way around my local pet and fish specific stores, but is there anything that's better to buy online? Note: I've already got a tank- I think it's 29 gallons, I should probably check the tag again.
Encase of emergencies, besides food and first aid, what other items are good to store away for survival? I will NEVER forget the winter of 200 in Seward, Alaska. I had just moved up to Alaska from the lower 48 states in the middle of January. Alaska was experiencing record snow fall levels that year. So when I got there houses where cover above the door tops. To me that seemed like the Alaska that I thought it should be. People were really expressing that "OH NO! This is not normal for us even up here." Soon, a chain of 36 avalanches shut down our only road for days on end. The main supply routes was cot off and we were isolated for a long time. It was mass hysteria! the only 2 grocery stores were absolutely bare of almost anything but junk food. Anything essential to preserve life was GONE! I started to worry but the Alaskans took it in stride. 3 days later the US Army flew food in for us and water. So I learned my lesson hard about storing food but what else might be a good idea especially in a cold weather environment? I got first aid stuff covered also.
What should be in an "Emergency Labor Kit"? my wife is expecting a baby soon. Planning delivery in the hospital, but I was thinking it would be good to keep some "first aid" supplies in the car/home just in case there was a sudden surprise labor. Can anyone think of some good things to have on hand in the car in case I needed to help deliver a baby until help arrived? Here are some of the things I thought of: -Clean Towels -Bottled Water -Blankets -Pillows -Knife or scissors Any other ideas out there?

Will my financial aid cover school supplies? I have 3 weeks until school starts and the lady assigned to my financial aid documents said that she is hoping to reach my docs by the end of this week... first, do you think I might get my financial aid before school starts and second, I'm eligible for up to $9,500 for my first year and will be taking 3 classes my first term... can I use the remainder of whatever they give me (I know it's not the 9500) to buy things like a laptop and pens, etc?

Life guards refuse to give first aid because they're "Not on Duty." Is this legal? I live in Ontario and I was wondering what the legalities would be surrounding an incident that occured at the Recreation Centre where I worked tonight. A little boy came into the centre while I was at the front desk and was bleeding profusely from his mouth and had blood all over his hands. The other children that were with him were so excited that no one could tell me what had happened, other then the boy had been in a scuffle. I am trained in First Aid, but have not recertified my qualifications in two years and did not have any first aid supplies with me. I had seen two life guards sitting in the back office so I asked the receptionist to ask one of them to help me (since they do first aid training once a month). The receptionist came back and told me that the life guards refused to help me or the boy because they were "not on duty". Is it legal for them to refuse treatment if they are in the facility? What course of action should I take? I don't think my part was clear. I did administer first aid, it turns out that the boy lost a tooth in the scuffle. My point was that had the injury been more serious (i.e a large gash inside his mouth), that I was not well equipped to deal with it. I had a box of tissues and a screaming kid. It would have been nice to have another attending first aider to help out.
Which first-aid supplies be stored in a car during the summer/winter? I want to keep a well stocked first-aid kit in my car, but I can't figure out which items can be left in the my car (which gets to about 120 degrees in the summer). I have the same question with freezing temperatures in the winter. Are there any special types of supplies designed for people in extreme temperature conditions? Things I'd like to keep: -An antihistamine like benedryl -An anti-itch/bug bite cream -Extra Claritin/Loratadine -Antibiotic Ointment -Something like Imodium for digestive issues -Cold compress Any other things I should include?
First aid or buy it all seperate? I'm looking in to buying medical supplies that would go in a first aid kit and I need the prices for all of it to compare prices but I can't seem to find the prices. Would I just be better off getting a first aid kit?
What first aid supplies do you use most? I'm going shopping for first aid supplies this weekend and I am just wondering what you guys find you use the most. I've got my basic list sorted out, so just let me know if I should add to it, or if any of the stuff listed on there is totally useless. Thanks ! Here's my list: -Scissors -Vet wrap -Stable bandages -tweezers -polysporin and/or iodine -band aids (for me)
Where can I get these First Aid Supplies? I'm taking a First Aid, AED, and Professional CPR class this semester and we need a pocket mask. Does anyone know what type of stores would supply these? Something that's not online would be best because I need it immediately. Also, I need to bring a towel? Has anyone taken a course like this? Is it just a regular towel I need to bring, or is it some type of first aid towel? Thankssss!!!! I would like to know a place where I can get it in a store.... not online please. :)
Where is the best store to purchase first aid kit refills? I'm having trouble in seeking for markets that are supplying first aid kit refills, does anybody is familiar with where I can buy that. Will this first-aid get to the people who have been flooded? Physics question? A pilot is attempting to deliver emergency good and first-aid supplies to an isolated northern community that has suffered severe flooding. The plane has a horizontal velocity of 1.40 X 10^2 km/h, as it flies at an altitude of 1.80 X 10^2 metres. The community is situated on a dry patch of land that is about 72m X 72m. a) If the supplies are released just as the plane flies directly overhead, will they touch down on land or in water? Justify your response with calculations that show exactly where the package will land. b) When should the supplies be released so that they touch down very close to the centre of the dry patch of land? Answer in terms of distance from the target, not time. Equations used: Vertical distance = 1/2(acceleration)(delta t^2) Horizontal distance = (horizontal velocity)(delta t) c^2 = a^2 + b^2 a) I know that the vertical displacement is given, but the horizontal displacement is not. In order to find the horizontal component displacement, I would need to find the change in time time. I take into account that there is no initial velocity, so I can use the vertical distance = 1/2(acceleration)(delta t^2) rather than Vertical distance =(initial velocity)(delta t)+1/2(acceleration)(delta t^2) equation. Since I'm given vertical distance = 180m, I can isolate and solve for time which is approximately 6.1 seconds. Now I can find the horizontal distance that is traveled: Horizontal distance = (horizontal velocity)(change in time) = (38.889 m/s after conversion)(6.1) = 235.6 m forward. Now that I have both the horizontal distance it travels and the vertical distance it falls, I can find the total distance the aid will travel before it falls. I use pythagorean theorem to find this, and yield a value of approximately 296.5 m as the resultant distance. Did I do this correctly? This woul

What do you have in your horses first aid kit? What medical supplies do you have in a first aid kit for your horse? I'm trying to get stuff together incase I end up moving my horse to a different barn (closer to school, trainers at both barns are friends so it works out great for me getting her moved). So far I have iodine spray and vet wrap (just grabbed some small cheaper things on my last shopping trip). What else is good to have?

I have a first aid kit, and a pretty good amount of other emergency supplies, but no bug out bag A bug out bag is a backpack that holds supplies like water, food, warmth, shelter, etc to last them 3 days I'm not in the military, but I like to be prepared.
