Wilderness First Aid Help? I am currently taking a WFA Course for the Fire Department, and... I am just wondering if when you are treating someone for shock, do you test the spine and neck, while conducting c-spine as well as checking vitals?
Wilderness First Aid vs Wilderness First Responder? A job that has some work in remote areas requires Wilderness First Aid training (WFA). I do not have either WFA or WFR (Wilderness First Responder). If I take a WFR course, could it count (supersede) the WFA certification for this job? Wilderness First Responder: 9 day class Wilderness First Aid: 2 day class Obviously, if I have the time, WFR will give me more training that could save a life sometime. So I'm leaning toward taking that class, as opposed to WFA. I hope it counts for WFA though?
