What kind of First Aid Kit would NOT be eligible for a Flexible Spending Account? I would like to purchase a nice Emergency First Aid Kit with My Flexible Spending Account (FSA). What wouldn't qualify? Would this one that I would like to get be eligible? http://www.abfirstaidstore.com/product/fogg/first-aid-kitslarge-kits/1500-first-aid-kit I am frequently outdoors pursuing adventure sports like Rock Climbing, Kayaking & Backpacking and am an active Triathlete as well. This kit would be for the house and back of my SUV and would be a comfort to know it's there. I've also taken Wilderness First Responder Courses and was a Combat Lifesaver in the military so I know a few medical tricks. Would this kind of kit be eligible? Thanks in advance.

TELL ME IF THIS IS TRUe!!? Wilderness survival - prepare for the worst 10 Essential items to bring 1. Extra food and water. Extra food means food that is not part of a planned meal or snack, food you do not expect to eat. So you won't be tempted to eat it except in case of emergency, it probably should not be one of your favorites. It does not have to be a large quantity. It probably will not keep you from starving, but it might give you some comfort as well as a few calories to burn to keep you warm. One or two high-energy sports bars might be a good choice. Always carry a full liter of water, and keep it full. Refill at every water source. The next source may be a long way off. Always keep some iodine in your emergency kit (as long as you are not allergic to it) whether or not you travel with a filter in your pack. 2. Extra clothing. This, too, is gear you do not expect to use. A polypropylene or wool sweater is fine. Even better is a small Mylar space blanket, the kind that comes folded up in a little cellophane package about 2 inches by 4 inches. Add a couple of 30-gallon trash bags, 2 or 3 millimeters thick if you can find them. These are extremely compact, weigh practically nothing, and can be tucked into your emergency kit and forgotten until needed. Garbage bags make good rain and wind protection. They can also be used for gathering food, insulating, as fire-making material, for forming part of a shelter, or for melting snow. 3. Map. A topographic map is essential for any wilderness navigation. It also can be tucked inside your clothes for insulation or used to leave notes or directions addressed to potential rescuers. 4. Compass. Be sure you know how to use both a map and compass or they won't do you much good. If your compass is the type with a mirror, it can double as a signaling device. 5. Flashlight with Extra Batteries and Bulb. A small AA-battery light is fine. Its most important use is for reading a map, and perhaps for signaling. You will probably find that if it is absolutely necessary to walk after dark, starlight alone provides enough light once your night vision adjusts and you are sure of your footing. 6. Sunglasses and sunscreen. These might not be critical for wandering through the Eastern woods, but they are absolutely essential for survival in deserts, on snow, or in high mountains above timberline where the atmosphere is thin. Sunburn can lead to severe dehydration. The same conditions can cause snow blindness, a particularly painful, though usually temporary, condition that can occur within less than an hour's exposure, though the symptoms may not show up until eight hours later. 7. Matches in a waterproof container. The wooden strike-anywhere variety is best. Just be sure to store them in such a way that they cannot rub against one another and light themselves. An airtight pill bottle or film canister will keep both oxygen and water out. 8. Fire starter or candle. In rain or wind a match will not stay lit long enough to ignite damp tinder. A candle, or even a small piece of candle at least a half-inch in diameter will give a more lasting flame. Better yet is fire starter, available at outfitting stores in several forms, from tablets or small blocks of paraffin or other flammable material to a gel that squeezes from a tube. 9. Pocket knife or utility tool. One simple blade will do, though the models with scissors, saws, tweezers, screwdrivers, and other utility tools are handy for preparing tinder, preparing food, first aid, equipment repair, and almost any other task you can imagine. 10. First-aid kit. Your kit should include a few alcohol swabs or moist towelettes, antibiotic ointment, aspirin or ibuprofen, Band-Aids, small tweezers, and scissors. Also include whatever prescription drugs you take regularly. If you travel alone or carry the main kit for a group, take a more elaborate kit. See Wilderness First Aid by Gilbert Preston (Falcon, 1997) for a thorough discussion of wilderness first-aid kits.

Why cant rich football clubs follow Barca's example? Barcelona turned down kit sponsorships offers that could have made them £100,000,000 for 5 seasons . Instead they made a deal with unicef that they will donate £1.5million or something of their annual revenue for 5 years and the name and logo of unicef to appear on their kits to help raise awareness of what is happening to our children today. To think that Barca is even under debt. Football is a sport and should always remain a sport. It is true that is has to be a commercial venture nowadays too. I know they also need to profit in order for them to grow, but i think they are just thinkin of themselves. They win trophies and make money while children are dying of starvation, aids and other diseases. Is it just all about money nowadays? Being on top of the rich list? I salute Barcelona for being bold enough to do that. Maybe rich clubs do have some charity work in their calendar but nothing like what Barca is doing. Why cant they do the same thing as Barca is doing?? What i mean is that turning down a £100million worth or sponsorships. It is not only about charity work, but to amount of work they do.

What is a good service project?!? I mostly just need websites to find good projects. My middle-schooler has to find a service project that lasts for a year. He preferably wants one that has something to do with sports. (Ex: Sending equipment somewhere or making first aid kits) HELP!!!
Horny man vs sexually aggressive woman. What will happen? This is a survey brought about by a silly conversation with some friends. Okey, you are a man, & if you're not, pretend you are. You have met a pretty woman in the software section at Best Buy, browsing for video games. She permits you to follow her next to the comic book store & then offers to cook you a womderfull home cooked meal since you've hit it off. So you two are in the mood & she warns you that she is aggressive in bed. You laugh & look around the house while she "prepares." Suddenly the phone in the kitchen & she rushes out of the room to answer it. You decide to peek into her room & see that she the scary assortment of items she plans to use. The bed is covered in a large piece of thick plastic. What ever for? She has a whip, a rope, a first aid kit with the gauze & iodine already placed on top, & a strap-on (this is why you have to pretend you're a man). Upon further inspection of the room, you notice there are no dainty fradgile ceramics or glass in the room & the walls seem uneven, as if dented. While she has mentioned that she dislikes sports, she owns a baseball bat & a tennis racket. WHAT WILL YOU DO? If you thought this story was funy, please tell it to your friends. XD
Question for all horse owners!!!!!!!? Ok, so I am researching the costs of having my own horse. I don't own a horse, but I am most likely going to get one when we move and I can't wait!!!!! I have been working and riding horses forever, but when I am working at the barn, everything we need is there. I have some of my own stuff, I just mean all the medications and first aid is already there. I wanted to know if I will need anything else than what I have listed. Here is what I already have: Saddle (english) stirrup leathers stirrups 3 saddle pads full grooming kit including dangler and shine. quic braid rubber bands towels (basically everything grooming wise that you would need for a show) breeches tall boots helmet riding gloves jacket for the winter crop lunge line Things I will need to buy: Sheath cleaner Pritox (thrush treatment, comparable to kopertox) Fly mask corona Bridle bit Girth A few wormers bucket Protection vest (eventing) Neoprene sport boots (for jumping) Crochet ear net winter riding gloves (it gets really cold here) new halter Lunge whip riding bat Bridle bag Tack trunk (? I might try to make one or pay a family friend to make one, because it will be way cheaper that way) Gastroenteric/Colic, 120 ml (20 day supply) (is thins a good idea?) Is there anything I am forgeting? Is there anythin on my list that is pointless to buy? Thanks oh also a blanket if the horse is living in IL, but if we move to AZ, it won't be needed. opps I forgot to mention, I have fly spray and treats (I make homemade treats) And thank you so much everyone. I will look into getting clipers and a fly sheet. And I might try to make polo wraps with some fabric (although it might not turn out well so I might use ebay). I will be at a stable, we don't have horse property =[ I have a trainer in both IL and AZ an I know tons of horse people that are so kind and will help me with question and thank you guys for helping with all my queations. and I already have 3 saddle pads, I am not buying 3. Also, I am not getting any of this stuff right now; I don't have a horse yet. I would wait till after I got the horse, to make sure sizes are right and so I can add and subtract spacific things for the horse"s needs. I probably won't be getting a horse for a few months, but it is worth the wait!!!!! Also, I am pricing everything on websites like www.doversaddlery.com and others. Does $490 sound about right for the products in the second colum? The bridle and girth are collegiate and I have one coupon that I used.

critique my backpacking list.? Here is my list for my 2010 John Muir trail trip, please give advise. Keep in mind I will have 3 re-supply points as well. I welcome all advise. North Face Terra 60 back pack 3850 cu in Suisse Sport Adventure sleeping bag Eureka Spitfire 1 tent XTC mid-weight base layer (top and bottom) 2 Paramount Convertible pants (1 worn, 1 in pack) 2 water wicking shirts (1 worn, 1 in pack) 2 socks and liners (1 worn, 1 in pack) 1 hooded sweater 2 pair of Spandex type underwear (1 worn, 1 in pack) watch cap gloves Boonie hat 2 water bottles Coleman light weight stove 2 small Butane cans First Aid kit (mole skin, band aids, alcohol pads, aspirin, etc) Travel size tooth brush and tooth paste Head lamp Wipes Camp Soap Deet Water proof matches lighter with tape wrapped around it 50' nylon cord Bare Boxer Chap model 202 bear canister with food Black Diamond Trekking poles Compass Extra batteries Maps Cooking pot and eating utensil Pancho 2 bandannas Iodine pills Everything here is the lightest and most compact I could afford. I am trying to go light weight, but at the same time bring the items I know I will need (not going ultra-lite, just lite). I am unsure if I should bring a sleeping pad, if I do I will bring my Prolite 4 from therm-a-rest. Please let me know what you think about the pad also? Let me know if I should add, subtract, or change items I have. Thanks Thanks everyone for the feed back so far....for those of you who mentioned knife, thanks. I have a multi-tool knife which will be in my pocket, I just forgot to list it. To the guy who said forget the bear canister....thats not an option. Your required to carry one while on the trail, if not you face possible fines and ejection. I will suffer the weight so that I can continue my journey. In addition, bears are smarter then most people are aware. Bear canisters were created because bears are able to climb up into the trees and get your sack. Even individuals who were climbing cliffs reported bears pulling their ropes to get their food. As far as the pad goes, thanks your probably right, but still not sure. I am limited on space and would have to attach it to the outside of my pack. Oh well, keep all the advice coming.
What do you think so far? I have started to write another story due to the fact it has been stuck in my head for ages. What do you think? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ My sister Chloe was the best sister ever. I mean it. She always managed to stay happy and help out our mum, even if we didn’t come from the most stable of backgrounds. Let me put it this way, our real dad cleared off when I was a baby, about three or so months old. Then our mum married Alex, a controlling ultra-religious person who took ‘the Word of our Holy Father’ very literally. I respect people’s beliefs and stuff, but taking it to this extreme was just wrong especially when he always hit mum and Chloe once as well. She was fourteen when my story starts. I guess at school she’d be one of the popular ones if she didn’t spend her time with me. It was the Christmas holidays and we could hear Alex shouting at mum. He started tearing down the decorations Chloe had bought and set up, yelling about how we didn’t deserve to have a Christmas because, in his own words, “Anna (our mum) was a rubbish wife, Chloe refused to obey him and me, well I was always following my thick older sister, which would most probably land me in jail.” We let him slope off to the Church, and Chloe went downstairs and hugged mum, who was now sporting a fresh cut. Chloe looked at me and I went into the kitchen to get the first aid kit. I sat and watched as Chloe gently wiped the cut down with anti-septic, and sprayed some of that invisible plaster stuff on. “Listen, we don’t care what Alex says. He’ll most probably spend Christmas in Church, and I still have some money left over from my birthday. That should be enough to cover some food, paper plates and napkins. I can also get some leftover money for a few surprises. Kathy, you’re going to make some crackers, okay? Just skip the gunpowder please.” I smiled and nodded. Alex was right, I always followed what Chloe said, though she was definitely not thick.
What to fill an Assault Bag with for airsoft? I have a Marine Assault Bag that my brother gave me after he got some leave. I play a sport called airsoft and was wondering what I could put in it. I already have the essentials, like first aid kit, duct and electrical tape, tools, and a two sided blanket for resting on and for cover (one side is meant to keep you warm, the other is keep rain off you), of course I have water, and lastly I have zip ties. Anything else you fellow airsofters can think of?
My roommate is stealing from me? Today I was leaving my room when the doors lock clipped me pretty bad, I went to get my first aid kit, but it was gone. I knew he had one and was going to borrow a bandage to slow the bleeding, but when I opened the drawer he kept it in I found my first aid kit. It's pretty hard to mistake it, it has a lot of sports stuff like handwarmers, aspercreme, and sports tape, things the standard kit doesn't come with, so I know it's mine. My friends aren't very helpful, they either think we should kick his ass, or they suggest maybe he isn't stealing and there's another explanation. It's not stealing, I was going to use one bandage and I was going to tell him I used it, and give him back one once I got a new one. He took the whole kit, and put it in his drawer. Even if you consider taking a bandage without permission stealing, at least I had a legitimate reason. What reason does he have to need ANOTHER first aid kit?

i need some fighting tips? So me and my friends hang out after school and lately we've been fighting in my friends backyard (sorta like MMA style) for fun. We use mma gloves and we have rules stricter than those they have in UFC to ensure safety(we keep a first aid kit on hands at all times just in case.) Yeah, I know it's immature, idiotic, dangerous, stupid, etc.. So far I've fought 7 times and won 4 of them. I'm in really good shape but I only beat my frends that have no experience in fighting, the ones that beat me watch ufc boxing etc. So they say they have an idea of how to kick, punch, grapple, wrestle etc. I'm just wondering if there's any tips that would make me a better fighter without taking martial arts classes. I'm 16 5'5 140lbs and have a 3.6 gpa. And don't tell me to stop because this is way funner than all the sports I've played (football, basketball, baseball) [=

Mountain Biking - Newbie Tips? So I got tired of using my mountain bike I got for christmas on country roads. I hit the local nature reserve where one part features a load of jumps. It went well the first 4 times I went down the hill. The 5th time I face-planted, tearing up both my hands requiring bandages and splitting my helmet. My face is also all grazed and swollen. At that point, covered in mud and dirt and blood I was scared. I was alive. I realised that this is what I wanted to do. I fell in love with a sport ive hardly tried. So I am getting a friend who is in the same situation (mountain bike, but never used for mountain biking terrain) and we will (hopefully) be going on two-person rides through various nature reserves. I am going to do a BIT easier routes to get more used to it before going back to the one I nearly killed myself on. So my question is this: Any tips for a 17 year old who, with a friend, is about to enter the world of Mountain Biking? I have a helmet and first aid kit, but thats about it as far as safety gear. Im saving up for more, but my family is not a wealthy family. We struggle. So its a bit difficult. I love my helmet though, as that face-plant would have killed me since the rock split my helmet open! Always wear a helmet kids ;) Eventually I hope to get 2 more mates on board (ive put a facebook status to find anyone who is interested) and have ourselves a 4-man (well, boy lol) team.

rock climbing emergency's? When climbing a mountain if you were to fall and be severely injured the average first aid kit would do you no good. cause it only contains bandages, disinfectants, and weak over the counter pain killers. How can you get a field medicine kit with surgical tools and iv pain killers such as morphine. I feel that because of the laws in the united state's extreme sports have become much more dangerous.

What do you need to a 1 week vacation to Cuba? I am a 14 year old girl, I am taking a week long trip to Cuba with my parents, we are staying at a 4-star resort, mostly spending time on the beach and doing water sports. I am Canadian, we have two, one hour long flights and then a four hour flight to get there, so lots of travel! I know the basic things like clothes (my dad said to bring a fancy outfit "just in-case") swim suits and towels, basic toilettries like my make up bag, toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, face cloth, body wash, shampoo, body spray, deodorant, I have a small first aid kit with things like tylenol, band-aids and disinfectant. Is there anything else I might need? I have flown to Europe a number of time so I have lots of books and entertainment for the travel time! All help is greatly appreciated! Thanks very much! Happy Holidays!

I got hurt at a academy sports store, what should I do legal wise ? I was looking around i'n academy and they sell axes. I saw one hanging in a package and when I reached to grab it the axe fell out of the package and cut my leg before hitting the ground. I called the manager and they came with a first aid kit. It looks kinds deep and I applied pressure so the bleeding was minimal. He got my info and wants to check up on me today about it as this happen yesterday. But it is clear that the axe was not properly i'n it's package hanging there could have been much worse if I child was there. Should I do anything legal wise, if so how ?
Tack space organization? I need some tips and ideas to help me and the person I lease from to keep our shared tack space neat and tidy. We're both pretty messy people, but I can be organized when I want to be. (I love her, but she is the OPPOSITE of organized!) Right now, our tack space holds 5 saddles (her 2 western saddles, her hunt seat saddle, her dressage saddle, and my hunt seat saddle) as well as all the other gear that comes with horses. So the space is set up with four wooden saddle racks that are fixed to the wall, set in two pairs, with one above the other about 2 1/2 feet apart (horizontally). Then, underneath each lower rack, we have big Rubbermaid bins. One holds all the blankets and coolers, the other holds other tack and training gear. Between the saddle racks, fixed to the wall, are several bridle hooks. Between the bins on the floor is our polo wrap/standing wrap box, first aid kit, and grooming tote. Then shoved wherever we can fit it is the basket where we keep the SMB and all-sport boots. At one point, we had it nice and neat, but in a matter of days it is mass chaos again. I think there's some random rain sheet shoved in the middle of it all, and she used the basket with the boots to rescue some baby bunnies the other day so the boots are all over the floor... and everything else is spilling out of all places, it seems. So the bins just don't seem to be working. We'd like to try one of those big organizers like this: http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.mackans.com/ecdb/medsi400/RUB9A6100BLA_1_1.JPG&imgrefurl=http://www.mackans.com/ecdb/item/id/9718701/&usg=__7EdTo_OLycLew261pFTzqqYyJrA=&h=400&w=400&sz=20&hl=en&start=0&sig2=_6tKCK2DokBIez_d4Ws7Pw&zoom=1&tbnid=4L3EXYQp3h1_1M:&tbnh=137&tbnw=132&ei=a57ITey8G4yCsQP47ciLAw&prev=/search%3Fq%3Drubbermaid%2Bportable%2Borganizer%2Bwith%2Bdrawers%26hl%3Den%26biw%3D1708%26bih%3D719%26gbv%3D2%26tbm%3Disch&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=416&vpy=60&dur=639&hovh=225&hovw=225&tx=112&ty=129&page=1&ndsp=40&ved=1t:429,r:2,s:0 only bigger, but I'm not sure if that's actually happening or not. How do you keep your tack space organized? Can I get some tips? All help is welcome! Thanks! I should clarify: I generally put things right back where they belong (usually :P) but my horse's owner doesn't! She's great, but it's maddening! I'm hoping for a way to organize that will be easy to maintain for a person who doesn't want to have to work to keep it neat.

My horse ''Game plan'',Your opinion? Okay this is my horse ''game plan'': :) Im 13 years old and have a big passion for horses, i have been to lessons once every month for the last two years. My mum & dad have agreed to this: ''Dad said: I will pay for the actual horse if you pay for everything else and do the research'' So that's our deal. So i have to pay for the tack, Grooming Equipment, Rugs ect. So i have my list: Roma Deluxe Hoof Pick With Brush Roma Plastic Sarvis Curry Comb Roma 2 Tone Plastic Body Brush Floppy feed bucket Turnout paddock rug Roma Aluminium Mane Pulling Comb Bucket Bridle with reins Roma Polyester Headcollar Horse lead Cooler Standard Neck Horse Rug Cotton Show Standard Neck Horse Rug Lunging Reins Snaffel bit Crop Grooming kit feed bin Fly repellent Helmet Riding gloves Pull on jodhpurs Saddle Saddle pad Kelato first aid kit Regular Shampoo Australian dressage detangling spray Float boots Okay, By the way sorry about the brand names So Thats my list. Me & my mum have recently discovered a program at my riding ranch were i take lessons at , The program is called Saddle Club, It is ideal for those planning to by a horse and teaches us a variety of things such as: Grooming Saddling Safety around horses Preparation for Pony Club Riding-skill improvement Horsemanship training Games and sporting skills So my mum and dad are agreeing to let me do this, I will be doing this for about the next 2 years :) So it will be lots of fun. Saddle club goes on twice a month for 3-4 hours. So i have been working really hard , buying loads of horse books and reading them all night, Researching very hard, Saving, And doing as much as i can do at the moment because of school. I have already sent many letters to the city council, Horse experts ect. I have a whole folder on all my infomation on it and i hope when i actually get this horse it will all pay off. So after that 2 years of Saddle club i think ill be ready to lease my first horse or take care of one of my friends horses for 2 weeks while they are on holidays. Then i will finally buy my first horse at the age of 15. What is your opinion on my Plan. Keep in mind i am only 13 so you don't want to hurt my self confidence. Thank you! Please email me if you have any advice or tips! :) xx

Would you say I'm ready? Long Question!? Am I ready for a horse/pony? Here's some background: I have been riding for 6 years now. Both me & my sister are 200% committed to this sport. We both have been experienced around spooks, bolting, bucking, rearing, misbehaved horses. Oh and the rearing wasn't just while we were riding but on the ground. We also have leased out a horse for 4 1/2 months. We own our own tack & grooming supplies. All we need is a first aid kit. What do you guys think? *NO RUDE ANSWERS OR IGNORANT ANSWERS. Trust me guys , I have a lot of knowledge!(: I actually read horse books when I'm bored ;P We already have info for everything & will be boarding at our barn(: our trainer also gave us her info for her vet/farrier/etc ;D
Is this a good starting point for an undead-zombie novel? OK, so I watched a couple of Zombie Movies recently and I found them really interesting, and it inspired me to go ahead and write my own, I haven't done much writing previously, (seeing as I am only 15) However, I have began to write multiple stories, then gave up, but if I can get some great feedback for this one, I would love to continue. So here is what I have done so far... The shallow tales of Zombies and the living dead had always interested carter, he often dreamt of fending off the endless hordes of mindless mutants and learnt strategies from movies and video games. From an early age he had intended on writing a Zombie story, he wanted it to be about the true, life struggles of survival and friendship, and in the event of an outbreak, how the survivors would come to cope with the matter. However, it wasn't the stories that so much interested him, it was how he would survive, in the unlikely event of an apocalypse. So Instead of writing a novel on Zombies, he wrote a tip book, entitled 'Zombie outbreak survival tactics' and packed it in a backpack full of everything he would need, his deceased dads Hunting Rifle, a pistol bought for him by his grandparents, a penknife, machete, plenty of ammunition, a video camera, diary, flashlight and batteries, binoculars, spray paint,First aid kit, Crowbar, an old laptop and lockpicks. He then hid this backpack away underneath his floorboards, awaiting for the time in which he would need these items the most. But at the age of 16, Carter let go of his past, he let go of everything he loved about the games, movies and stories of zombies, he put them all in a box and stored them in his attic, never to be touched by him again. He didn't forget about the Backpack, and kept it secure under the floorboards, where it had been for the past 5 years, he could use it in the event of a robbery or anything other than a zombie outbreak. Deep down inside, he still had his love for these things, but he wasn't keen on sharing it with the world. He changed when a girl,Haylie entered his life, he met her at college and grew close to her almost immediately, he began dating her and didn't want her to think he was a 'freak'. So he hid away all evidence of his Crave for zombies, gore and guns. Over his College years, Carter had met some people who would change his life for the better, Haylie, of course. His best friend, Blake, who was a little out of the ordinary, he worked out for approximately 2 hours everyday, he played almost every sport and wasn't afraid to use his strength when he needed too. However big and intimadating he appeared, he really was a nice and friendly guy, Carter trusted him with almost anything, and Blake trusted him back. Nate, however, was more of the opposite, he was another of Carters closest friends and had the most self-esteem and arrogance than anyone Carter had ever known, he was too self-involved and only cared for himself, if someone was in trouble, he was known to ignore it and carry on as if nothing happened, he showed no sorrow for the death of his own or anyone elses family members and appeared to care only about his own pride. He often had house parties which resulted in many drunk college kids scattered around his home, but this didn't seem to bother him, life to him was a laugh, a joke, a game. But still he remained loyal at times to Carter and Blake, which was the main advantage to their friendship. Parties were Nates favourite thing in life, lots of booze was always good right? the next day was halloween , and Nate had organised yet another party, but this time, it was a Halloween fancy dress, he had invited almost everyone in college and wanted it to be the best fancy dress party ever, seeing as Blake hadn't passed his driving test yet it was always trouble for him getting to Nates parties, he had to walk halfway across the neighbourhood to get there. But this time, Carter had passed his test, and lived relatively close to Nate anyway, looks like he'd be picking up both Blake and Haylie for the party. - So Basically after that, what I intend on Happening is Carter calls up Haylie and asks if she would like a ride to the party and she declines, because she is with her friends and are walking over, Carter then asks her what she is dressed up as for the Party, and she replies 'a Zombie' Carter then has flashbacks of his survival guide and weapons and stuff. Carter arrives at the party with Blake and they stay for around 10 minutes, then Haylie arrives and it turns out she has been Zombiefied for real, along with her friends, everyone is clueless to this and begins to clap and cheer for the great 'costumes', but then they begin to bite the guests and Carter,Nate,Blake, a couple from the party are forced to leave, they head over to Carters and retrieve the backpack and survival guide, this is the beginning of the Zombie Outbreak. Im not too sure what should happen from here
Thoughts on my Zombie Plan? I know it's fictional, but just for the fun of it, tell me what you'd change? My ideal zombie setup. First of all, I want a 12 gauge pump and loads of buckshot. Buckshot because it spreads, and you don’t really need to take much time to aim. Also, a 12 gauge pump because it reloads quickly and holds a high capacity of ammo. Next, you want a high power rifle, preferably a 30.06 because it’s availability of ammo, and it’s power, and accuracy. You keep this at your base for defending your base from long distance threats. Next, you want sidearms. These are to carry around whenever. Just incase you don’t have time to reload, or using a larger weapon is just inefficient. Personally, I’d carry a .380 caliber semi automatic pistol, because it’s high bullet capacity, light weight, accuracy, and reliability. But, you want two sidearms. Next, I’d carry a revolver. Because they are very reliable, easy to care for, and never jam. I’d want a .357 magnum, sheerly for it’s massive firepower. Next, an assault rifle. You carry this around whenever you need to move out of your base to get supplies, meet up with someone, etc. it needs to be efficient for close range, as well as medium, or even long range. I would want an AR-15 assault rifle, for its durability, accuracy, and 45 round clip. Next, your choice of blunt weapon. These are not used unless needed, as they are dangerous because you need to be very close. Id like to use a t-ball bat, because they’re very small, easy to swing, and you can even carry two. As for my choice of mobility, id use a sports motorcycle, such as a ninja 250, or similar. I’d choose this because you don’t need to refuel often, (as gasoline will be very sparse) it’s ability to accelerate very quickly, and its mobility. You cant drive a hummer through a highway where cars are blocking half the street. I’d always have a ciphening line along with me, to take gas from other vehicles. Next, your base. Like many people think, going to a mall, or a large store is a BAD IDEA. A. its highly populated, zombies will already be there. B. many ground levels windows and doors, too many places to block. If possible, go to an ocean, or large lake, on a boat. Next, your emergency kit. A few things in this category are: Water (1 gallon per person per day) Food (stock up on non-perishable items that you eat regularly) Medications (this includes prescription and non-prescription meds) Tools and Supplies (utility knife, duct tape, battery powered radio, etc.) Sanitation and Hygiene (household bleach, soap, towels, etc.) Clothing and Bedding (a change of clothes for each family member and blankets) Important documents (copies of your driver’s license, passport, and birth certificate to name a few) First Aid supplies (although you’re a goner if a zombie bites you, you can use these to treat basic cuts and lacerations that you might get.) You want to quickly cover all cuts and open wounds, because if the infection is viral, they don’t have to bite you. If blood from a zombie that just got shot gets into your wound, you might as well of been bitten. More supplies- 50 waterproofed matches and striker, as electricity and most other power sources will be gone within a few days. A flint and striker. 1 Case of 3,600 Calorie Survival bars.- very useful. This is the beginning of it, i plan to add more. The flamethrowers actually not a good idea i thought. because a zombie has to be killed by the brain, and how long does it take a flame to reach thier brain? If there is anything worse than a zombie, it's a zombie on fire chasing you. and, are walmart windows shatterproof? and, i think many people would go to places like walmart. stock up on canned foods, water, etc. it'd be too crowded i think.
What to get a 13 year old boy for Christmas? What to get a 13 year old boy for Christmas? my family does a secret santa thing every year for christmas. we have a big family so not everybody buys for each other. this year i have my 13 year old cousin(we live together) he doesnt really have a christmas list. he was adopted by my family from his birth family who was never really a "family" and they never really did anything for each other. he was taken away from them when he was 5. anyway, my point is he just appreciates what he has now so he doesn't really ask for anything. he likes getting stuff but only when it is offered to him, he does not like to ask for something. he is 13, he's in 8th grade, he's really outgoing, super friendly, funny, goofy, loves to laugh and smile, he likes sports, he plays baseball and soccer on a community league(indoor soccer is going on right now) he doesnt really like real competitive sports teams so the ones he is on practices less and has less games. he likes to do anything active so he likes all sports. he has an ipod nano. he likes music. he has to have constant noise, doesnt matter what it is but he cant stand silence. doesnt matter if its people talking, moving around, or music. he likes to read. mysteries and action books. i dont know what he has read or not read. he also likes magazines. he doesnt know what he wants to be when he grows up. also, he is always getting hurt. he is always moving around(he has adhd) and he is kind of careless so he often hurts himself somehow by falling or whatever. hes always got bruises, scratches, always bleeding. hes broken like 3 bones. gotten stitches a few times. anyway, i was thinking it would be kind of funny as part of his gift to get him band aids, gauze, stuff like in a first aid kit. other ideas please?
What do you think of my writing? I just started writing this randomly. Oh, and I'm 12. I ran faster. My legs moving quicker than ever before. I was pushing myself forwards so I could win the race. I shot round the corner past a group of girls, gasping for breath as they ran. The track was hard underneath the soles of my shoes, but I persisted. "Olivia!" my best friend Cassie cried. "Sorry!" I yelled back over my shoulder. I could picture Cassie scowling as she was left behind. Now there were on 3 people infront of me, battling it out to win. I passed two of them with ease. Simply gliding past them on the track. The one person between the finish line and I was Leanne Debbons. A well known athlete, who apparently was a sports demon. I caught up to her and managed to get in front. I had the upper hand to win the race, if I didn't mess it up. Leanne seemed angry, and it pushed her to run faster. I thought it was just competition until Leanne shoved into my back sending me tumbling over into a heap. Leanne soared for the finish line cheering as I clutched my ankle in pain. I heard Cassie scream my name and moments later she was by my side playing the role of Doctor Cass. Something we'd played many times when we were younger. "Oh my gosh Liv, are you okay?" Cassie asked me, helping me up. "Just a bit crushed, emotionally speaking, of course," I replied. "Why?" Cassie questioned as she helped me hobble over to the grass, and the first aid kit. "Because," I told her, "Leanne Chester Debbons pushed me." Cassie gasped, "That's terrible. We'll deal with her later. Right now, however, we need to sort your ankle out." I nodded as the PE teacher came to inspect my ankle. Trying to hide my inner rage. What do you think? I just started writing that, so... Thanks for reading it all if you did xx

need help. i had cut myself at walmart and wana know if there is anything i can do about the first aid kit? i was shopping at walmart back in the sporting goods i had picked up a exercise weight and a peice of metal stabbed me in my hand. my concern is not about the injury, it is about the anti bacteria cream they gave me. in a first aid kit evry thing should be in individual packets. the first thing she handed me was a individual packet of alchole wipes. the next thing she handed me was a tube of anti bacterial cream, without thinking i was concerned about the bleeding and he pain i applied it. my mom was with me and when she noticed it was to late the cream was applied already. she asked the associate if other people who have had opened wounds had used the same tube she replied yes. my concern here is that that is very unsanitary, i do not know if the people who had used that befor me had aids or hepititise or if they even washed there hands afetr going too the bathroom. my concern is for my health i applied this too a open wound and the looks of the tube so did alot alot of other people. i am just woundering if there is any way of a law suit or if there is something that cna be done? if so does any one know of a lawyer in lancaster or reading area that deals with that kind of stuff thanks.
What is the best road bike? So let me start off, i am 14. I love biking and have ever since i started. I currently ride a walmart mountain bike and a Haro BMX. I have been on a few long distance rides and i loved it. But i want to get more into the sport. I have been looking for awhile now. I am strongly considering the trek 1.1 It is in my price range and seems to be a great starter bike. My budget is about $700 for bike + accesories. My LBS has a past 2011 model for 600 dollars. I did the math and with tax and all it would be aroung 680 dollars. I am not to concerned about counting down to the penny, i can scrape up some extra cash. I need advice on if it would be right for me. As accesories go i was pretty much just thinking emergency kit, spare tube, pump, first aid, etc. And a pair of bicycle shorts. I dont want to go into the shoes. They are very expensive so i was just considering riding with not clips. So basicly i need help with if it is the right bike for me and any accesories i may need. And shoes. I am a total nubie to the road biking, but i am really devoted and want to get into it. Please dont base your answers on my age and where i am getting the money. cuz for you who want to know its actually my money that took me a year to save up. Any advice would help me out BIG time. Thanks in advance :)
Is an Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor good for First Aid kits? Are Automatic Blood Pressure Monitors suitable for first aid use? Such as during a summer sports even where a tent set up for first aid. I know how to take BP manually (with a cuff and stethoscope) but many of these automatic machines these days are very convenient and would probably work more efficiently. Any pros, cons, cautions or recommendations? Thanks.
5 day sports trip with my school? Okay so I'm going on a sports trip with my high school. We'll be doing three sports everyday, and in the evening we will do activities, or we can just chill. But it's mainly water sports we will be doing. I have to have an outfit for everyday because, of course, the stuff from the previous day will be wet or sweaty. In the mornings, we also go swimming or go for a run. I need enough space for two swim suits, a pair of running shoes, a rash vest (for under my wetsuit when we go surfing), outfits for the evening (about 3 or 4 because I wont need a new one for everyday), an outfit for the party on the last day, about 2 pairs of shoes, running kit (tracksuit bottoms/shorts, t-shirt) and of course, my washbag. Unfortunately, I have to take a lot in my washbag, so I have my: 1. tooth care stuff 2. face and hand wipes 3. shampoo and conditioner (in travel bottles) 4. deoderant 5. shower gel 6. small first aid kit. To fit all that in, I have the mother of all washbags, which takes up a quarter of my suitcase. I cant get a smaller one which will fit everything in without having to take 2, unfortunately. there are 60 of us going on the trip and space under the bus is limited. My suitcase is currently this one (it is a medium): http://www.marksandspencer.com/Value-Luggage-Soft-Rollercase-Medium/dp/B0039YLHQU?ie=UTF8&ref=sr_1_12&nodeId=546277031&sr=1-12&qid=1334333690&pf_rd_r=1A9K1J0BZGZJJW96V22P&pf_rd_m=A2BO0OYVBKIQJM&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_i=546277031&pf_rd_p=215570647&pf_rd_s=related-items-3 Is that okay?
