Plane friendly travel first aid kit.? I'm trying to think of items to include in a plane friendly first aid kit (carry on approved). I have access to quite a lot of medical items, but I'm trying to limit the overall size and still maintain it as a carry on friendly package. Suggestions for what to pack (beyond bandaids)? I'm flying overseas, the first aid kit will be taken with me where ever I go. First aid on a plane is not the issue, I'm simply trying to travel lighter and avoid checking a bag. I'm not talking tums, I'm talking airway adjuncts, 14 guage catheters for tension pneumothorax etc.
what's in your baby first aid kit? I need to know what I should put in the travel first aid kit? You keep the big one stationary but what about the one you throw in the diaper bags? Any suggestions?
First aid kits for animals? I am trying to see what all I need to put in a first aid kit for my animals. I need one for my horses and one for my dogs and cats. Can someone tell me what they keep in there's? Travel and at home.
Is this a good enough first aid kit and will my gp give me antibiotic to take just in case (remote area)? Right so I am going to be in the mountains about 7 or 8 hours from Delhi and about 3 hours from a medical centre and I want to be as well prepared as possible. Is the following enough for a first aid kit, should I leave anything out or add anything to it? Antibacterial hand gel Asprin and paracetamol Immodium Dioralyte Travel sickness tablets Calomine lotion Various elastoplasts Wound dressing Bandage Anticeptic wipes Cotton wool Sissors Tweezers Thanks Ooooh I forgot lol Blister plasters Or would it be better to take something like this so i can insist they use the sterile needles in my pack if I do go to hospital (god forbid) http://www.firstaidwarehouse.co.uk/xpp-travellers_complete_first_aid_kit_with_green_pouch.html#opt_description

What would you want in a guest gift basket? I'm having a destination wedding in Cancun and I want to make gift baskets for all of my guests for coming so far. I have a few ideas so far: tequila, shot glasses, cameras, travel-size first aid kits w/plenty of pepto for the mexican food, sunblock, lip balm. Any suggestions would help, especially from guys. Ok and now I've decided to attraction brochures, cancun map, hotel brochure w/all the info. they'll need, mexican candy and/or cookies. I'm only gonna do the tiny tequilla shot bottles for the guests that I know drink. I was thinking about a koozie or keychain from mexico. suggestions?
What do I do about this place I took my dog to get groomed, who had shaved a layer of skin off her? (Her third time there, and NEVER AGAIN!) I asked them to shave her before I took her away for a 4 day weekend with us. They ended up shaving a layer of skin off her private part. We didn't notice it right away, because we left right after picking her up. By the time we came back it had healed some what, luckly, I always take a first aid kit with us when traveling with the dogs. The day we came back, I called and took her back where this happened. They didn't say they were sorry or anything. They looked at it, said they don't understand how this happened and why the groomer didn't report it. (Duh? Wonder why not?) They even tried to PULL OFF the scab. Poor thing! They said it looked fine and that I don't have to take her to a vet. They tried to give her some "CAT" meds. (for a dog?) to calm her down. This is not the first time this happened. A few months ago they "nicked" my mom's dog a little, it wasn't as bad. I just want to know who to turn them into or/and what I can I do?

Will I be allowed to have an epinephrine pen in my carry-on luggage on an airplane flight? i have extremely bad allergies. I have to travel with an emergency epinephrine pen most places I go. I plan on traveling by plane a few times next year. I have not flown since before 9/11. I know there are "lots" of things you are not allowed to bring with you now. Am I allowed to have this with me-- if not, what can I do? Do airlplanes first aid kits have this?

Do you trust FEMA to help you? Are you ready for a natural disaster? Could you leave on short notice? Myself, I made Bug Out Bags (BOB’s) for my family. Their small bags kept in the house for a quick exit. Each family member has their own bag, so it’s tailored for them. The bag looks like a large gym bag and it has shoulder straps. In each bag there is a change of clothing and stout shoes. A travel size first aid kit. (cheap from Wal-Mart and Dollar Store) A small sample size toiletry kit. (cheap from Wal-Mart) Three days worth of food, like energy bars and mountain house freeze dried food. Ziploc bag with salt, pepper and plastic cutlery. Small pocket knife and multi-tool. Space blanket. Windup flashlight ( cheap from Dollar Store) One chemical light stick. Two army canteens with drinking cups and water purification tablets. Two packs of travel size Kleenex. One butane lighter. Two small tea candles. Pepper spray (for 2 and 4 legged varmints) Small AM/FM radio. Rain poncho Xerox copies of birth certificates, drivers licenses, insurance papers, address books, etc. Rechargeable phone calling card with at least 120 minutes. A small notebook with a pen. Also each bag has $300.00 in small bills and two rolls of quarters. The bags don’t weigh much, but they can be worth their weight in gold if needed.
My two year old has a cut- should I take him to seek medical attention? Please answer quick!? My son was running across the cement at the park an hour ago, barefoot, and tripped. The only injury he has is also his first "real" cut- so I'm not sure how to handle it. His big toe has been cut open and was bleeding everywhere. The tip of it has piece of skin hanging off. It could be dead skin, but it was bleeding profusely. Luckily I had a travel first aid kit, so I treated it immediately. Usually my son shakes injuries off and wants to keep playing. This time, he asked to go home. He screamed the whole way home, which isn't like him. Now we are home and he is lying down with his foot elevated and bandaged up. I gave him some children't Tylenol. He isn't crying and even asked to use the restroom. When he gets up to walk (he's a determined little boy) he has to stay off of that toe. His mood is somewhat alert and happy, but I know he is in some pain. Should I call a medical professional or just continue to treat it at home? We don't have a good insurance plan. THANKS for your opinions and insight! It's always nice to hear encouragement in situations like this. And you are right, I'm sure he's fine, it's just hard to tell the first time around. Good thing my husband is at work, he freaks out over small things like these!

Kiss vs Nailene acrylic kits? Urgent!? I usually buy my acrylic supplies at Sally's but I'm travelling and there's no Sally's around here, just a Wal-Mart and a Rite Aid. I need a kit to do my own fill this weekend and to do another girl's nails. Which of these brands is the better of the two, they are both pretty much the same price.

TELL ME IF THIS IS TRUe!!? Wilderness survival - prepare for the worst 10 Essential items to bring 1. Extra food and water. Extra food means food that is not part of a planned meal or snack, food you do not expect to eat. So you won't be tempted to eat it except in case of emergency, it probably should not be one of your favorites. It does not have to be a large quantity. It probably will not keep you from starving, but it might give you some comfort as well as a few calories to burn to keep you warm. One or two high-energy sports bars might be a good choice. Always carry a full liter of water, and keep it full. Refill at every water source. The next source may be a long way off. Always keep some iodine in your emergency kit (as long as you are not allergic to it) whether or not you travel with a filter in your pack. 2. Extra clothing. This, too, is gear you do not expect to use. A polypropylene or wool sweater is fine. Even better is a small Mylar space blanket, the kind that comes folded up in a little cellophane package about 2 inches by 4 inches. Add a couple of 30-gallon trash bags, 2 or 3 millimeters thick if you can find them. These are extremely compact, weigh practically nothing, and can be tucked into your emergency kit and forgotten until needed. Garbage bags make good rain and wind protection. They can also be used for gathering food, insulating, as fire-making material, for forming part of a shelter, or for melting snow. 3. Map. A topographic map is essential for any wilderness navigation. It also can be tucked inside your clothes for insulation or used to leave notes or directions addressed to potential rescuers. 4. Compass. Be sure you know how to use both a map and compass or they won't do you much good. If your compass is the type with a mirror, it can double as a signaling device. 5. Flashlight with Extra Batteries and Bulb. A small AA-battery light is fine. Its most important use is for reading a map, and perhaps for signaling. You will probably find that if it is absolutely necessary to walk after dark, starlight alone provides enough light once your night vision adjusts and you are sure of your footing. 6. Sunglasses and sunscreen. These might not be critical for wandering through the Eastern woods, but they are absolutely essential for survival in deserts, on snow, or in high mountains above timberline where the atmosphere is thin. Sunburn can lead to severe dehydration. The same conditions can cause snow blindness, a particularly painful, though usually temporary, condition that can occur within less than an hour's exposure, though the symptoms may not show up until eight hours later. 7. Matches in a waterproof container. The wooden strike-anywhere variety is best. Just be sure to store them in such a way that they cannot rub against one another and light themselves. An airtight pill bottle or film canister will keep both oxygen and water out. 8. Fire starter or candle. In rain or wind a match will not stay lit long enough to ignite damp tinder. A candle, or even a small piece of candle at least a half-inch in diameter will give a more lasting flame. Better yet is fire starter, available at outfitting stores in several forms, from tablets or small blocks of paraffin or other flammable material to a gel that squeezes from a tube. 9. Pocket knife or utility tool. One simple blade will do, though the models with scissors, saws, tweezers, screwdrivers, and other utility tools are handy for preparing tinder, preparing food, first aid, equipment repair, and almost any other task you can imagine. 10. First-aid kit. Your kit should include a few alcohol swabs or moist towelettes, antibiotic ointment, aspirin or ibuprofen, Band-Aids, small tweezers, and scissors. Also include whatever prescription drugs you take regularly. If you travel alone or carry the main kit for a group, take a more elaborate kit. See Wilderness First Aid by Gilbert Preston (Falcon, 1997) for a thorough discussion of wilderness first-aid kits.

If you ran away, what would you take with you? There is no limit as to what you can take - as long as you can handle it. And mention your means of transportation too, please. (; I'd be traveling by bike, so I'd need a few things in case something happens to that (ie, patches, tire pump, etc.). Other than those, I'd fit my laptop, extra clothes, a First Aid Kit and cash from my bank account in my backpack and be gone.

Am I forgetting anything? I am beginning to assemble the items needed for the restroom hospitality baskets and I need to know if I am missing anything important. So far I have: q-tips, hairspray, small sewing kit, cotton balls, mini first aid kit, several kinds of pain releivers/antacids, shout stain sticks/wipes, feminine hygiene products, emery boards, clear nail polish, oil absorbing facial wipes, spray deoderant, nail glue, breath freshener/mints, several individual perfume/cologne samples. The men's room will have the same, minus the manicure and feminine hygeine products. Also, to ladies who have already used these for their weddings: Should I be buying full sized products or will they be wasted? So far I have purchased mostly mini or travel sized versions. Thanks in advance! Oh my gosh..how could I forget safety pins and bobby pins! Thanks guys. I've honestly never been to a wedding that DIDN'T do this. It's a courtesy the bride and groom extend to thier guests so the aren't floundering around for an aspirin or nail file. Most places do not provide anything other than the standard bathroom necessities. Yes it is quite an expected thing where I am from (New York) to be prepared for any little thing a wedding guest might need at your wedding.
WHAT's In Your Bag?? I just CAN'T carry a small handbag.. There's no room for everything I need! (My b/f tells me all the time I'm ridiculous, but men just don't understand!) Seriously, I keep everything in my bag! McGuyver could save the day with the contents of my bag. If I got stranded on an island for a week, I;d probably be able to survive off the contents of my bag and still look FABULOUS! In My Bag: Make-up (one of everything, never know when you might need to touch up!) Mirror Hair brush (it's a small travel one) What equals to a small first aid kit (visine, bandaids, small neosporin, tylenol-i don;t even take meds!) Rolling Papers Super Glue Travel Toothbrush Pens Hard Candy Gum Very often.. a snack Cell phone Credit Cards ID Reading Material (right now a book) MP3 player Portable Phone Charger Lighters / Matches LOL.. it's a real field day in there.. You need it , I got it oh yeah.. keys tampons tissues a BUNCH of receipts (IDK why I keep them) and on the bottom - change, change, and more change.

Is it possible for me to have aids? Im so paranoid i could not sleep last night. I was on the tube and a gay couple were sitting opposite me and one of the sneezed without covering his mouth properly. What should I bring with me for my summer in Europe? I am currently creating a list of things I need to remember to take with me for my summer in Europe. Basically, these are things I need to buy beforehand and I am trying to figure this all now so I can go ahead and start buying bits and pieces here and there so I won't spend a lot of money right before I leave. Things on my list so far: toiletries + first aid, backpack, mailing supplies for back home, travel insurance, memory card + backup camera battery, power converter, good walking shoes, contact lenses.... Can you think of anything obvious I may be missing, besides clothes and Rx? Also, what should I bring in a miniature first aid kit (just in case- I'd hate to be in another country and not be able to get a bandaid or something due to language barriers)? Thank you for all of your advice!!
Physics Help Please!? Please just answer what you can. 1. A skateboarder, starting from rest, rolls down a 15.0 m ramp. When she arrives at the bottom of the ramp her speed is 8.90 m/s. (a) Determine the magnitude of her acceleration, assumed to be constant. (b) If the ramp is inclined at 23.0° with respect to the ground, what is the component of her acceleration that is parallel to the ground? 2. In a football game a kicker attempts a field goal. The ball remains in contact with the kicker's foot for 0.050 s, during which time it experiences an acceleration of 380 m/s2. The ball is launched at an angle of 49° above the ground. Determine the horizontal and vertical components of the launch velocity. 3. A rock climber throws a small first aid kit to another climber who is higher up the mountain. The initial velocity of the kit is 21 m/s at an angle of 57° above the horizontal. At the instant when the kit is caught, it is traveling horizontally, so its vertical speed is zero. What is the vertical height between the two climbers? And please show how you got your answer. Thanks for the help!! I'm not lazy, and you're an idiot for thinking that. I obviously can't figure it out and was hoping that someone could.
Tour the US? I want to bike around the US for how ever long until I am satisfied. First, I want to get an Associated Degree from college before I do this, so I have some education when I come back. I want to travel the US and maybe find a place work for awhile then go out and about again. What are some good bikes, tents, backpacks, saddle bags, and sleeping bags? I am probably going to get a survival guide to and a first aid kit. I am just gonna roam US. e-mail me if you have done this.

What are essential/best baby items to have as a new parent? What's junk? What's invaluable? Hints? Tips? (Sorry this is so long! Many thanks in advance to those who reply!) We are at week 34 awaiting the arrival of our Babygirl. Gifts and hand-me-downs are starting to come in that we're marking off the "need to get" list (per Babies R Us). We still have lots we need to get, so I wanted to ask for your opinions. For all those moms and dads out there, I have attached, below, the Babies R Us "Parents Checklist." What is necessary? What is not? What is invaluable? What did you get on a whim and are eternally grateful for having? What turned out to be nothing but junk? What brands are the best (i.e., I hear that Boudreaux's "Butt Paste" is the best there is)? I'm starting to scout out Craigslist and eBay for deals (who the heck knew breast pumps were unbelievably expensive??? At least I can get new, in box items from eBay and save a few if I watch like a hawk!). If any of you have insights that you would share, we would be very grateful. Thanks! Please help with this paragraph....? Revise the following paragraph, improving it without changing its overall meaning. As you revise, pay particular attention to combining sentences Going on a road trip can be fun. A road trip can be a spontaneous adventure. Planning some aspects of the trip can make it more successful. Choose a good time to travel. Avoid traffic congestion. Make a list of sights to see. Make a list of their locations. This saves time thumbing through guidebooks. It is always a good idea to conduct regular maintenance on a vehicle before a long drive. Shops that do oil changes can check other fluids. Brakes should be inspected before traveling. Always consult the weather report before getting on the road. Tires need to be checked for proper inflation and wear. Lights need to be inspected. Be sure to take along a road hazard kit that contains blankets, a first aid kit, lights, and food. Plan nightly stops in advance. It is foolish to drive tired. A top priority needs to be finding a safe place to stop for the night. Finally, make sure there is a current and high quality map in the car at all times. A road atlas works well. Enjoy the trip!
What kinds of things would WOMEN NEED on a work road trip, but typically forget?? What kinds of things would WOMEN NEED on a work road trip, but typically forget?? I am the manager for a work crew. We often have to travel for 3-6 hours in the van, and most of the staff are women. I'm brand new to this job and this type of position. What are the types of things I should make sure to have with me, that they are invariably going to ask for because they let it at home... Eg..someone asked for some tissues the other day, which I did have.... I'm looking for any kinds of suggestions, from cards, to soduku puzzle books, to barrettes, eslastic bands, etc. Any routine items that they are going to need, I want to make sure I say, I have it, no problem:) Items that would NOT be found in a first aid kit as well. I will ensure that i have a fully stocked first aid kit.

What is the horizontal component of the ball's velocity when the opposing player fields the ball? 2. A rock climber throws a small first aid kit to another climber who is higher up the mountain. The initial velocity of the kit is 22 m/s at an angle of 66° above the horizontal. At the instant when the kit is caught, it is traveling horizontally, so its vertical speed is zero. What is the vertical height between the two climbers?

I am travelling to Russia in October - what do I need to pack? I am an eighteen-year-old U.K citizen off as an independent traveller to Russia in October. Thus far, I have prepared A big heavy rucksack Passport (complete with 30-day tourist visa) Booklet containing Travel Insurance policy summary & info Wallet containing £100 worth of Roubles Pens and pencils (for filling in all those forms) Sleeping Bag & Roll-mat 3 x t-shirts, trousers, socks & pants Aluminium litre bottle Phrasebook Couple of books to while away the hours on trains Toiletries First-aid kit Can anybody else think of anything else I'd need? I'd considered taking a tent & trangia, but camping around Russia sounds like a bad idea on account of the authorities and the weather, so decided that such items would merely draw attention to me and weigh me down. My westernmost and easternmost destinations respectively are St Petersburg and Tomsk - what sort of clothing would I need to keep warm? All answers appreciated - thanks! Oh yeah - I've also got boots, a travel guide and a camera. Cool

What is the vertical height between the two climbers? I got the time as 1.33s. Then I plugged that into y=(1/2)at^2. Is that right?
Physics question help? A rock climber throws a small first aid kit to another climber who is higher up the mountain. The initial velocity of the kit is 16 m/s at an angle of 61° above the horizontal. critique my backpacking list.? Here is my list for my 2010 John Muir trail trip, please give advise. Keep in mind I will have 3 re-supply points as well. I welcome all advise. North Face Terra 60 back pack 3850 cu in Suisse Sport Adventure sleeping bag Eureka Spitfire 1 tent XTC mid-weight base layer (top and bottom) 2 Paramount Convertible pants (1 worn, 1 in pack) 2 water wicking shirts (1 worn, 1 in pack) 2 socks and liners (1 worn, 1 in pack) 1 hooded sweater 2 pair of Spandex type underwear (1 worn, 1 in pack) watch cap gloves Boonie hat 2 water bottles Coleman light weight stove 2 small Butane cans First Aid kit (mole skin, band aids, alcohol pads, aspirin, etc) Travel size tooth brush and tooth paste Head lamp Wipes Camp Soap Deet Water proof matches lighter with tape wrapped around it 50' nylon cord Bare Boxer Chap model 202 bear canister with food Black Diamond Trekking poles Compass Extra batteries Maps Cooking pot and eating utensil Pancho 2 bandannas Iodine pills Everything here is the lightest and most compact I could afford. I am trying to go light weight, but at the same time bring the items I know I will need (not going ultra-lite, just lite). I am unsure if I should bring a sleeping pad, if I do I will bring my Prolite 4 from therm-a-rest. Please let me know what you think about the pad also? Let me know if I should add, subtract, or change items I have. Thanks Thanks everyone for the feed back so far....for those of you who mentioned knife, thanks. I have a multi-tool knife which will be in my pocket, I just forgot to list it. To the guy who said forget the bear canister....thats not an option. Your required to carry one while on the trail, if not you face possible fines and ejection. I will suffer the weight so that I can continue my journey. In addition, bears are smarter then most people are aware. Bear canisters were created because bears are able to climb up into the trees and get your sack. Even individuals who were climbing cliffs reported bears pulling their ropes to get their food. As far as the pad goes, thanks your probably right, but still not sure. I am limited on space and would have to attach it to the outside of my pack. Oh well, keep all the advice coming.
What should I have in my dance bag? I'm 22 and plan to be starting dance again soon (I use to take ballet for a sort while when I was young but it's been so long that I'm practically a beginner again). I'm going to be taking two classes of ballet and modern a week, each class is only an hour long. So I'm wondering what all should I bring with me in a dance bag. Since they are only one hour classes I figured I shouldn't need to bring much. This is what I've thought of so far: Dance shoes socks legwarmers travel first aid kit (it's a tiny kit with bandaids, medical tape, and little things like that) water bottle Hair ties/bobby pins phone hand sanitizer am I missing anything? Once again it's only two one hour classes a week, so I don't want to be hauling too much around. That should be one class of ballet and one class of modern a week, so two classes a week all together. I accidentally made it sound like I was taking two classes of each dance a week.

My mom has given me medications for worst case scenarios like UTI's and severe diarrhea and stomach problems and severe pain. These prescriptions do not have my name on them. Can I put them in my first aid kit in my checked luggage? Will these be suspicious or confiscated? I want to do whatever is easier and would not postpone my flight or get me in trouble. Please help!

Size of backpack needed for a 90-day trip around Europe ? Would like to go on a 90-day trip around Europe and the UK. Twenty countries in all, 3-5 days in each. Have heard people recommending 65L backpacks, others say to pack light. I want the smallest backpack possible. I'm travelling from the start of April to the end of June. I would pack 1-2 changes of clothing, very basic other clothes (as i would buy and discard as I travel), basic first aid kit and just the bare essentials. I still want to have good hygiene, so I'd have a small toiletries as well. I'd photocopy pages from guidebooks, instead of bringing them along. I'm striving for a 22L backpack, do you think I can manage this on bare essentials ? If not, can you recommend the right size ? (:

First aid kit for sea travel? im planning a short trip along the coast of england with my friends and we are hiring a boat. the "captain" (family friend) is letting us have it free if we help sort it out. we have repaired repainted paid registration fees and the like (iv just been a bit of labour unsure on rest) but we have been told we need to buy a trauma first aid kit. we were told a standard first aid kit isnt enough on a boat because of additional risk. items to be kept on hand should include: tweezers, elastic bandages, medical tape, fever thermometer, precut triangular bandages for slings or splints, safety pins, scissors, tongue depressors, antiseptic spray or cream, antidiarrheal drugs, antihistamine drug, adrenaline pen, and assorted bandages and dressings we have bought a first aid kit we beleived was complete but have been told we still need to buy antidiarrheal drugs and an adrenaline pen any help will be great

Need Help - Cycle Touring for the First Time? Hey guys I'll start off by saying that I am absolutely determined to go touring for the first time and very excited. Having said that, I plan on riding about 500 km next week up the east coast of Tasmania traveling from town to town (Hobart to Bicheno) but I still need to buy some stuff before I go, so that's what I'm hoping you guys can help me with as well as any other tips you can spare for me. I'll get straight to the point, I am a uni student so I don't have much money for gear. Only about $100 to spare for purchases. The bicycle I'll be riding has panniers and I plan on bringing a tent and a sleeping bag to save on costs (as well as a pump, tools, first aid kit) but I don't have much as far as bicycle gear & apparel goes. The bicycle is a little old, 7 speed, as long as we've had it it hasn't had any tune ups or needed any repairs so I'm not too sure how dependable it is but it is my only option for this trip as I can't afford to rent one or buy one.So what do you all think is most essential gear or apparel that I should allocate my $100 on to make this ride go as smoothly as possible? I know the whole trip sounds crazy given I can't afford much but honestly I've been dying to see more of Tasmania since I'm only going to be living here for 2 more months and the main reason I want to do this tour is because I don't want to see Tasmania looking out of a glass window of a bus or even by car; I want to see it by pedaling down the road, stopping by the beach, listening to and enjoying every bit of nature along the way. So can you guys help me? If you were in my place and had $100 to spend on essentials, what would you buy? Any other information you can give me would be great.
Traveling with dog for the first time, and I have a few questions? Hello, next week I'll be traveling with my dog for the first time. The travel time, without stops and not taking in traffic, is about ten-eleven hours. My dog does fine riding in the car, but this is her first long distance travel. I've prepared the basic supplies needed when traveling with dogs, but have some questions I am hoping some people that have traveled with dogs before/know about it could answer. First:Normally my dog is taken on two hour long walks daily(once in the morning and once at night) along with an hour of high activity play time mid-day. She's a border collie/Labrador mix so she is a very high energy dog. My first question is about exercise before and during travel. We will be leaving at about five or six in the morning. That's before her usual morning walk, should I take her on a thirty minute-hour walk still before we leave? We will be stopping every hour-two hours during travel and when we stop I plan on taking her on a jog during the time of our stop(which could be fifteen minutes to half an hour) and do that every time we stop. This includes when we stop for the night/before we actually go in our hotel room. Would that be okay or what would you recommend for exercise? Second:On some websites I have read it's said to bring a first aid kit for the dogs while traveling. I'm going to check with my dog's veterinarian and see if they have an already prepared one tomorrow. If they don't-what would you suggest getting to put together a first aid kit? Third: My dog is not 100% on recall training yet, but as I said when we stop I want to give her exercise by taking her on a jog. I don't want to have her off leash yet, so I was thinking of getting a long leash(like the ones used for recall training)-Does anyone know what stores(In the US) I could buy a long leash from? Long enough that she could run around and explore, but I could still keep control of her? I kind of found something at Petco, but I'm not exactly sure about it. Would this work for what I am wanting: http://www.petco.com/product/108376/SportDOG-Orange-Check-Cord.aspx I apologize about the length of this question, Thank you in advance to anyone that could answer any/all of my questions. @4Her4Life-Thank you for answering! The reason why we will be stopping one-two hours is not just because of the dog but because my father(who is coming with too) has health issues that means he stops frequently. I thought that would be a good thing for the dogs too since they could stop to relieve themselves and stretch thier legs a bit(Sorry I should have mentioned that ahead of time). I was already planning on bringing the proof of her rabies vaccination and the other things you mentioned :) Thank you again for giving such a detailed response! You mentioned some things I did not exactly think of(the leash law that some places will have being the main) so thank you for bringing that to my attention, that's something I'll look at. @pennysgrand-Thank you for answering. My dog does get sick in the car, she's fine with riding in the car. Thanks for your suggestion-I don't really trust retractable leashes because they don't seem very secure and from my experience dogs(especially bigger dogs) can easily break them or come loose from one even with it being made for a weight larger than what they are. **Sorry that should be my dog does NOT get sick in the car.
Where can I get a good EMS trauma kit for my personal vehicle? I was driving down the highway not too long ago and came across a bad accident and, being an EMT, I wanted to help, but I have nothing in my car that would be of any use. This got me thinking that it wouldn't be a bad idea to carry around at least some some C-Collars and Bandages/Dressing. Does anyone know a good place to get EMS/First Aid "travel kits"?
Who else is prepared for the winter weather? A government warning said that anyone travelling in icy conditions should take: A shovel, blankets or sleeping bag, extra clothing including scarf, hat and gloves as well as 24 hours supply of food and drink, a de-icer, 5Kgs of rock salt, a torch or lantern with spare batteries Plus Road flares and reflective triangles, a tow rope, a 5 gallon petrol Jerrycan, a first aid kit and jump leads, etc. I looked a complete prat on the bus this morning !!!!!! .
anyone have any funny ideas for a gag gift first aid kit? I have a friend turning "the big" 30...severely clumsy.. always hurting himself & need bandages and stitches..he makes jokes about it all the time..i want to get him or make a funny first aid kid.. like a dual one, stuff to survive turning 30-- but also a deluxe first aid kit (bandages, cool gadgets, etc) he can take on the road with him (he is a pa for concerts so travels alot)
What is the vertical height between the two climbers? A rock climber throws a small first aid kit to another climber who is higher up the mountain. The initial velocity of the kit is 12.5 m/s at an angle of 64.8° above the horizontal. At the instant when the kit is caught, it is traveling horizontally, so its vertical speed is zero. What is the vertical height between the two climbers?
