Hi, for a job I want to apply for it requires one to have Emergency First Aid and CPR level "C". However, the place I am getting my first aid from has the following seminars: "Emergency First Aid and Level A CPR", and "Standard First Aid and Level C CPR". I was just wondering what is the difference between them, and which one is better to take in my case? So do I have to get the seperate CPR Level "C"?
St. John Ambulance offers both "standard" and "emergency" first aid courses. What is the difference? Or is emergency= standard + additional training? Please advise! Thanks!
I know calling 911 would be 1st, but what can a person do before paramedics arrive or if in a remote location. I searched on internet first, and didn't find anything helpful. Please list first aid for exit and non-exit wounds.
Its a wilderness first responder certification.
i've been wanting to take a training course in wilderness survival and first aid, but i cannot seem to find any organisation or anyone in singapore who can provide such training. anybody in singapore know an organisation, or personally has extensive knowledge in the mentioned subjects?
I want to take the rescue diver course, but Padi requires you to take a First Aid course beforehand. They have their own course available, but what's the difference between their course and other first aid courses?
I got an 11 month old son and have thought it would be a very good idea to get on a first aid course but dont know where I have to go to get envolved,I've not got a lot of money and so it would be best if it was free. I live in Bilston west-midlands so only local areas please.
I'm taking a first aid course today. It's offered in a classroom at my college. What do I wear? Is it okay to wear jeans, sneakers, and a conservative shirt since I'll be moving around, or should I dress business casual?
I want to take a CPR Course with my brother (who wants to be a cop) and get my CPR/First Aid Card. However, I'm not sure where to go to find this sort of training. I have talked to the Red Cross, but the only one in town is sort of run down so I'm looking for other ideas? Do you have CPR/First Aid Certification? Can I get this from a local fire department? Thanks for your knowledge! We are in the Vancouver, Washington area. (sort of near Portland, Oregon)
I currently hold a valid UK First Aid Cert that includes CPR training. I am looking to begin teaching in the States, but need a CPR training. Can I use my UK cert to apply for US certification?
I live in NJ and am in High School. I would like to be certified in CPR and First Aid and ANYTHING ELSE I CAN. How would I go about doing this? Again, beside first aid and CPR is there anything else that I can be certified in? Lastly, I do NOT want to be an EMT at all, I want to become a surgeon, but that is beside the point so just answer my question please.
I am taking a course in First Aid by the American Red Cross and I need to pass the test on First Aid with a 80%. My teacher said it is 15 questions and I am worried because there is a lot of information. I read the manual but I am not sure if I will remember all of it after all I can only get 4 wrong. Does any one have any tips that has already taken it? What should I focus on? Should I memorize numbers?
I'm interested in taking the pet first aid class that it offered by the Red Cross. I'm curious to know if it is worth it or if is just like a how to wrap your pet in a towel before you rush him off to the vet kinda thing. I don't know a ton about pet first aid, but I also don't want to spend $32 and 4 hours for nothing.
Just for in an emergency or small injury. I always have one problem or another pop up that may be helped with the right supplies and information in the form of a first aid kit.
I need to know what types of things you should put in your first aid kit because i am going to the beach and need some ideas
I'm curious about this. It only makes sense that every public place has some sort of FIRST AID KIT to treat, lets say a somewhat deep cut, or a puncture, etc., while rescue workers get there. I'm sure this would help in the spread of MRSA (methicillin resistan Staphylococcus aerous) which has just killed a young man in Virginia, making 21 schools close. Supposedly this bacteria will be killing more people than AIDS!!!
I am a new Instructor & am looking to take a survey of how many people on average need CPR & 1st Aid Training. For what purpose, too. I am not looking to sign anyone up, but just to post this question and see the result. Thanks!
